Finishing Rubber Rummage and Starting the Gem Show!

It’s Management Monday! I think I say that there is a bunch going on all the time. So let’s assume that there is almost always something going on. I think this is our new “normal”. So here’s what’s happening this week.

If you haven’t shopped yet for the Rubber Rummage Sale there is one day left. One day. Today is the day! Don’t wait! Come on out during Open Times to shop!

I will be at the Gem & Mineral Show from Thursday through Saturday of this week. I will have free shipping vouchers, Easter baskets, card kits, and more! Stop by and see me at the Sportsman’s Club on Sunburst in Joshua Tree. More details and a flyer coming soon!

Did you know that there is a new storage system that is available to order today?!?

If you want to wait to see what mine looks like please contact me so I can email you when it comes in.

If you would like to place an order please use host code J9F3PK7T that helps me to purchase new items for the rewards basket. This code is good through tonight at 7:30 pm. If you prefer to order in person stop by during open time or contact me.

And we are back to rest.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest or re-charge. Weren’t we just here? It seems like the weeks keep going faster and faster. So what do you do to rest or change up your routine?

Since I don’t have customer service hours today I am in the studio. I have all the printed project ideas on the floor and I am figuring out what we are creating for next month’s Card Class. Does this sound like fun to you? I love this stage of planning. My least favorite is all the cutting. And my most favorite is seeing it all come together with you at class.

What are you up to today?

Tourists…

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. Spring is in the air and the flowers are blooming. What does this mean? For some it means allergies. Others it means warmer weather is coming. For many it means it is the beginning of tourist season. With that comes people that are lost, drive too slow, and just generally don’t fit in. Be patient. Smile. Explain with some patience. Show them some kindness. Thank them for visiting.

Birthday Pop-Ups!

It’s Tutorial Thursday! As I am getting ready for the Rubber Rummage Sale I am creating some easier projects. Today’s tutorial is on our monthly kit Paper Pumpkin. Remember, it doesn’t always have to be complicated.

To see the video that highlights some of this kit as well as the Distinktive stamps please go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjKG_f9RfDQ.

When canceled stamps become more.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! What do you do with your canceled stamps? Do you simply throw the envelope away? In this case take the stamps off and glue to a piece of card stock. Die cut in to a shape and use as an accent piece on a card.

Swirl with a purpose.

It’s Technique Tuesday! There are several ways to sponge. You can take a sponge and just barely get the edge of a piece of card stock to offset your accent piece. You can color the entire background with just a sponge like we did in the cactus card. Or you can put some texture and depth to the lacy one. Depending on what you want to accent will be where you put the most ink or pressure.

As you can see there are some heavier spots of ink which is where I wanted the accent to be.

Resting by breaking up the routine.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to break up your routine, get some rest, or get re-charged. I don’t know what I am up to today. Joel asked me to block the day so we could have some fun. So I will be breaking out of my routine doing who knows what. Do you have someone spontaneous and surprising that helps you break out of your routine?

And the birthday continues…

It’s Sale Saturday! The last week or so of Sale-A-Bration is upon us. Don’t wait because it will be gone before you know it. Also, if you haven’t heard there is a birthday promotion going on until Monday. Check out yesterday’s post if you aren’t sure what I’m talking about. And to tie things up the virtual kit class is up also. There is lots going on so if you need more details or have questions just contact me. There is no stupid question. Honest.
