It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Have you ever heard of using water to make something stick? Usually it is to wash your hands or clean something.
For today we are using the spritzer bottle to go just beyond damp on a piece of card stock. You do not want the water to drip. You want it heavily damp. Then sprinkle on embossing powder and heat. You will create a great splashed background.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Sometimes all a project needs is a bit of bling or a little embellishment. Keeping it simple is great with just the right amount of flair. In this case the embellishments in the corners were added to offset the foil and the simple nature of this card.
It’s Sabbath Sunday! Today is the day to rest and recharge.
With about a month and a half to go before Christmas I am sitting here in my pajamas wondering where the year went. And my second thought is I have some work to do. Christmas cards, swaps, craft fairs, and …and…and…
So today I am planning and ordering so I have the supplies to do what I need to do. I just have to remember to take action on that plan so I don’t end up with cases of tic tacs that I forgot about much like last year. As you are ordering make sure to write down a list of what has been ordered and for what. This will keep things organized and will hopefully prevent you from buying something in a rush.
It’s Sale Saturday! We, as demonstrators, have been doing a good job of showing you the crafters what is cool to have. So, the Purple Posy Ink Pad, Copper Delicata Pad, and the Moose Punch are no longer in stock. With that I will leave you the host code and not much more since I have swaps to get done for OnStage.
If you would like to order online please use host code 7UW2MACE to help Jodi. This code will be good until Monday evening at 7:30. If you prefer to order in person please contact me.
It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. Sometimes the ones closest to you get the worst of it.
When I am going through something the ones closest tend to get my grumpies. I tend to not want to talk and just get through life until it gets better. I was reminded this week that it only gets better when you choose it or take the time to fix it.
I had been trying to ignore things since I felt like I had just finished being part of a bad break up. I was beginning to move past it but still wasn’t my “normal” self. I had been playing catch up with work as I had let a few things slip through the cracks.
Well, all I can say, is sometimes you need a friend to pull up in your driveway and say come on we are going to breakfast. Just to know someone cares and knows me that well is a bit refreshing. And in case you didn’t know, french toast really does fix everything.
It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Did you know a clear block can be used for more than stamps? When using the felt accessories you might have trouble getting them to stick. Instead of using glue dots or tear and tape try the multipurpose glue. Place a little on the felt and stick to the base. Then place a clear block over the accessory. There is just enough weight in the block to get the felt to adhere properly.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today’s technique is more of a tip.
Soon it will be time to dash out the door and head off to Grandma’s for that infamous turkey dinner. What will you bring? Grab an acetate box and tape it shut on the bottom. Then grab a clear bag. Fill the bag with some of your favorite small candies. (Make sure to leave enough to have a few yourself.) Then place inside the box. Decorate the box with a cute turkey, feathers, something festive. Now, hurry, you might already be late. Safe travels to you.
It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week.
If you don’t know this week is Card Class! Let me know what session you will be attending.
I have an order going in tonight at 7:30! If you would like to order online please use host code EXFPHMFD to help me restock the rewards basket. If you prefer to order in person please contact me or stop by in person during Open Time today.
