Just listen.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. Instead of thinking about what to do or buy to make someone feel better, loved, or wanted maybe it’s just time to listen. I learned this from my daughter this week. She was on the phone, yes phone, not texting or messaging, and just being a friend. One of her friends had a difficult day and she was laying on her bed with ear buds (headphones) and simply just listening. Not really talking but listening. Not giving advice but just being present for her friend.

This was a great reminder for me to set aside time to just be present for those closest to me. So I will ask you, how often do you truly listen to those around you?

Storage options!

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today’s blog post is not really a tutorial for a creation but instead how to get organized. In case you haven’t noticed Stampin’ Up! has a new storage system.

And here’s what it looks like in my studio…

I love that all the markers, pencils, and blends are in the same place.

Here is the video link for how it goes together and some questions answered. https://youtu.be/WImPQFP9TDo

When daisies are bunnies.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Did you know that daisies can become bunnies? Remember to look at your products upside down, sideways, and in pieces.

If you clip off all but two of the petals for the daisy punch you get a bunny for Easter. Just remember that the head still needs to be round.

We will be creating this card for Card Class next week. Join me!

Resting by cleaning.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! How are you preparing for your week? Are you resting, planning, or picking up some of the piles? I am doing a bit of everything. I am taking inventory and getting things back in order after a three day craft fair.

So what do you do to regain control?

It’s the little things.

It’s Friendship Friday! Today is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. Sometimes it’s the little things that really help to keep you going. Usually the big things are great for a picture moment but, at least for me, they don’t seem to last as long. It’s the little details that people catch that are amazing.

For me it’s when I am in the middle of a craft fair (much like I am now) and Joel says “what can I make for you for lunch”. Or “I already packed your truck for you”. It’s not the huge stuff, like planning a vacation, but the little every day things that make life easier for me.

I don’t say this to brag but to illustrate a point. It’s the details that matter. How do you help with the details?

When one piece of paper becomes a basket.

It’s Wacky Wednesday! This is the day where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Today is the day I will show you how to use one piece of paper and get an entire basket out of it. No, I will not be cutting strips like before and gluing them all together. This project is rather simple.

So stay tuned for tonight’s Facebook Live at 7 pm to learn how to make these Easter baskets.

Stamps are for more than paper.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Did you know that stamps are for more than just paper? They can be used on any flat surface. This is why we have different kinds of ink…memento, staz-on, classic, versamark…

For this tile I used staz-on ink.

After I will color with our stampin’ write markers and seal.
