It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to show you how to colorize black and white paper.
I’ve taken the Perfectly Penciled 12″ X 12″ Designer Series Paper and colored it.
You can use a Sponge Dauber, Blender Pen with ink or colored pencils, Blending Brush, and I am sure a few more. For this sample I have used a Blending Brush along with the inks Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.
You can streak the color, spotlight it (only do a small shape), or color the entire paper. Whatever your choosing this is another option to get color on your paper.
It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week and maybe a bit beyond.
Thank you for being patient with me. I had to put Shadow down on Saturday so priorities shifted a bit. So this week I will be catching up a bit with shipping classes, announcing new ones, and …

No Open Day Session This Month
I am sorry to cancel this session but I have had to do some shifting this month. I will see you on October 29 for the next session.
Host Availability
Are you missing in-person classes? Well, now you can choose everything. When you choose to be a host you get to pick exactly what you want: your location, your food, your projects, and your free products. These are the only two weekends I have available but I do have weekdays open.
So let me know where I am going and when. I look forward to what ideas you have to share with me!
It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest so you can be recharged for the week.
Just recently I have had a couple of friends that have had surgeries to fix past injuries. They are now recovering. But I am reminded that with things getting fixed comes patience, time, and effort to make that new part stronger.
This comes with rest, proper exercise, and following the doctor’s orders.
I know for me I have to remember that my inner pride needs to step down and listen to the experts. And more so, take the advice and actually do something with it.
What are you rebelling against and not doing what you are supposed to?
It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.
When you’ve had a rough week, month, year, whatever your true friends know what to do. They will often sit with you or give you some space. I am lucky to have one of these kinds of friends.
It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!
Today I want to talk to you about how a Sponge Dauber can become a mixer.
Tonight I will be showing you how to pearlize your paper and puff out a pumpkin. When pearlizing your paper I used the Sponge Dauber to mix the White Pearlized Enamel Effects with the Mossy Meadow Ink Refill. I just used waxed paper so I didn’t have to wash the Silicone Mat at the end.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to share with you that light means more than just the sun. With the Rays of Light Stamp Set I immediately went to sunlight or sunrays. But it could also be any source of light. Or it could be no light but simply a colorful background.
So here is this card in the traditional sense (sunlight).
And here it is with a source of light, a lighthouse.
It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week and maybe a bit beyond.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest so you can be recharged for the week.
Normally I would tell you what I am doing to rest, but today is not about me. It’s about my daughter.
Tara, my daughter, just finished a summer of touring the nation with a drum corp. (For those of us not in music (like me), this means she was on a bus for almost 3 months performing a show at stadiums all over the country.) She developed some knee and shoulder problems after being on her feet 10 hours a day for about a month straight. But there was no rest in sight unless she dropped out.
Instead she figured out what to do to make it through. Lots of ice, a knee brace, and lots of prayers. And now she is able to rest. She is not on her feet 10 hours a day any more dancing, playing, loading, etc. Just the normal for work, school, and living. And now that she finished to the amazement of the staff and many of her friends, she gets rewarded. Not only does she know that she finished but the staff have recognized her as well. Well done in not only finishing, but finishing well.
What have you persevered through and got rewarded for?
