Simple yet elegant.
When you are out of envelopes.
It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Have you ever run out of envelopes? Then make an envelope card. This is where you take a piece of Designer Series Paper and create an envelope around your card.

Add folds.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Do you feel like your card is flat all the time? Then add some folds. Instead of the middle being flat and stamped on add some folds. Score evenly and create an accordion pattern so you can add some depth. Add a ribbon instead of an envelope to keep it closed.

Unpacking your mind too.
It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to focus on rest and re-charging. We often talk about resting which in my mind means to get some extra sleep. While this is a good thing you also have to remember to unpack your mind. Your mental well-being is as important as your physical. Often your mental can be more important as it impacts your physical well-being also.
Unpacking your mind could mean you go to the gym, go for a walk, just stare at a wall and do nothing, meditate, yoga, yell, and much more. This list is left to your imagination. Pick whatever works for you so that you keep your sanity and well-being.

Less trash and more color.
It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. In the last couple of weeks we’ve done some self care and realized how important it is to take care of ourselves. Now I want to get back to helping in the community.
I recently had gone out to eat and the usual box of crayons came out and a coloring sheet for the young child a few booths down. Do you ever wonder what happens to those crayons? They usually get thrown away. So I started looking around to see if there was a way to recycle them. And sure enough there is an organization that does called “The Crayon Initiative” (https://thecrayoninitiative.org/).
The Crayon Initiative’s mission is to keep crayons out of landfills. They get crayons from all over, sort by color, and melt them down to make new crayons. These new crayons get distributed to children’s hospitals across the nation to help support art. Some of you already know that art is therapy. And now kids can too.

Candy canes from circles.
It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today is the day that I show you how to create a candy cane from just circles. I chose scalloped ones but plain ones work too. Cut about a dozen each of the red and white circles and start gluing.

Adding texture.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today is the day I add accents to create a nautical look. Take your Layered Circle Dies and create a ring in the Copper Foil Paper to create an effect of a porthole.
Make sure when stamping you have already cut the dies so you can figure out the layout. It would be a shame to do a bunch of stamping that would not be seen.
