It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest and re-charge. Sometimes not only do you need to rest your physical body but sometimes you need to rest your mind as well. So for today I am resting all aspects and getting back to running on all cylinders.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to give back or pay it forward. Have you ever walked into a room and just wanted to be near a certain person? You may not have even known the person but there was just something about them that made you have to get to know him or her.
I have a couple friends with personalities similar to the above mentioned. I find myself not wanting to go more than a day or two without talking to him or her. For me one friend just makes me feel good and another challenges me to tackle the day. Either way with either person I am motivated to be better.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I am playing with the new Daisy Lane Bundle. One card has plenty of texture and looks like a masterpiece with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. The other is a little more abstract with its black and white composure.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Do you ever wish you could have all of your crafty items out just so you can see them? It’s easier to figure out what to create when you can see everything.
So here’s an idea for you. What if you purchased an additional catalog from me ($5) for the sole purpose of cutting it up? When you purchase an item you would cut it out of your additional catalog and place the cut out in a binder. Then when you went to create you could see everything that you have without having everything out.

It’s Technique Tuesday! There is an easy way to get a whitewash vintage look. Grab your white craft ink refill, an aqua painter, and a silicone mat. If you don’t have a silicone mat then grab a piece of waxed paper. Basically you want something to create a palette without the ink soaking into it.
Place about 5 drops of ink on your mat. Fill the aqua painter with water. Then proceed to whitewash your stamped image. You will want to stamp with the memento ink so as to not smear. Let dry between layers so the paper does not start to break down.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Today’s the day to take to rest and re-charge. Since it is Father’s Day it is hubby’s choice on what to do. So it looks like we are driving down the hill to do a little bit of shopping (new flip flops for him) and enjoy a pastrami sandwich at Sherman’s Deli.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to give back or pay it forward.
The school year has ended and I know that I have some teachers and parents reading this. I know that you are probably breathing a sigh of relief, at least for a minute, that the routine of homework and hurried dinners is no longer. And with this week being the final week I am sure some of you feel that you have earned every drop of this break.
I know exactly how you feel. It’s been a little crazy here as well. And sometimes I don’t have words and don’t want to deal with one more thing. This is when I look at my beloved, mostly black, standard poodle named Shadow. He stares back at me and he knows. He gets up and sits down at my feet with his head in my lap. He knows I need a minute to stop, breathe, and run my fingers through his curly hair. Do you have a pet that brings everything back into focus for you? Share a picture or comment with me.

Stamping With Joni and the Red Door Crafters
