It’s the simple things.

Sometimes a paper is so detailed that there is not much that needs to be done.  Take the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper on page 189.  It makes card making so easy.  Add a cute accent and you are all set.  For the tutorial go to last week’s Facebook Live or You Tube. Remember thatContinue reading “It’s the simple things.”

Giving back to those who give so much.

Did you know our local theatre in 29 Palms is all run by volunteers?  They are trying to update and expand to provide better quality shows for you to enjoy.  So today’s give back is to consider attending this event to help this organization to evolve and stay relevant.  So mark your calendars for JuneContinue reading “Giving back to those who give so much.”

Outlining while punching.

Have you ever wanted a clean line around the edge of your punched image?  If you sponge after you just seem to get the whole image inked?  Try outlining the image before you punch.  Here’s how… Grab a piece of cardstock and stamp whatever image you want. Place in punch but do not cut. GrabContinue reading “Outlining while punching.”

Wax is useful.

With the new catalog beginning soon I want to remind you that some things are stiff when they are new.  So here’s a tip for you to take a birthday candle or a piece of unscented wax and use it for grease.  If your new ink pads are sticking or are too stiff for youContinue reading “Wax is useful.”

Resting by trying something new.

I don’t know about you but I often like what is familiar and what is comfortable.  I will find myself going to the same restaurant, sitting in the same booth (I prefer over a table), seeing the same waiter/waitress, and ordering the same thing.  It’s easy.  I don’t have to think.  But sometimes your brainContinue reading “Resting by trying something new.”

Stamps are not just for paper.

Do you use your stamps for more than just paper?  Did you know that they could be used for more than paper?  Basically any flat surface can be stamped.  I have been creative on cardstock, wood, fabric, glass, cork, metal, clay, paperclay, and even cookies.  If you stamp into food make sure to clean yourContinue reading “Stamps are not just for paper.”

Window sheets for a box.

Window sheets are not just for shaker cards.  They can also be used for an entire pouch.  Instead of using cardstock try using a piece of window sheet.  Just make sure to have matching or complementary shreds to go inside.  They can be so cute with the right contents to match. So next time youContinue reading “Window sheets for a box.”

Invisible punches.

Do you remember how to make your punches invisible?  Take a mat and punch out of the middle so you don’t miss it.  Then you have your accent piece that is guaranteed to match and not be missed. Don’t waste your cardstock! Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂

Watercolor pencils and aqua painters, oh my.

I’ve had so much fun with the alcohol markers that I don’t know if we have forgotten about other ways to color.  There are blender pens to be used with the ink pads, re-inkers, or watercolor pencils.  There are the regular stampin’ write markers.  And finally, there are the watercolor pencils with the aqua painter. Continue reading “Watercolor pencils and aqua painters, oh my.”

Sun, shopping, and flip flops.

So today instead of resting I am breaking out of the routine.  I am using some hydrating lotion to keep my skin from peeling after yesterday’s Woof Walk.  I didn’t get burned but I’m not used to the wind any more.  And I am doing some shopping.  This crafty girl needs a new pair ofContinue reading “Sun, shopping, and flip flops.”
