When Pigs Fly

As some of you know I decided to go full time with this stamping thing back on St. Patty’s Day this year.  It was quite a change.  I don’t regret it for a second.  The last hurdle I had was blogging.  So, here I am…  I have told coaches, friends, family, and crafters that I will blog when pigs fly.  Well…

So, for today’s technique I figured I’d give you a bonus and do more of a tutorial.  This is a slider card illustrating that pigs with glitter wings actually do fly.  If you would like to see this via video please go to my YouTube channel, When Pigs Fly Video.

To start you will need: a card base, mat, inner mat, labels for words, two wood crates, one heart, two pennies (or washers), snail adhesive, scissors, sponge dauber, crumb cake ink pad, classic label punch, this little piggy stamp set, clear wink of stella, and wood textured designer paper.

To make the sandwich so there is a slide, place mini dimensionals on embellishment, penny, two layers of mini dimensionals, and another penny.

Tip:  If you don’t want to wiggle into the slide attach the last penny while holding in place.

This is the finished card and officially when pigs have flown.

I hope you continue to enjoy this adventure with me.  Happy Crafting!

Wacky Wednesday

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it was not intended. Sometimes if you need a wider ribbon you can simply stretch it. Don’t be afraid to take your product and literally pull it apart.

P.S.  Just a quick side note that the invitation for Card Class is up!  Here’s a photo of the cards (pssst…one is an original design, so cool).  Let me know which session you are coming to!

Welcome to your new space.  This is all for you.  I started looking through all the different places you can find information on events and found it confusing.  Here is your one place to get all the details.  There will be photos of what is being created, events coming up, photos, and more!  I will still be posting in all the other places too so I figured I would explain the purpose of each so you can choose how to follow.

Blog

This is the place for you to get all of the information in one place.  Welcome!

Facebook Page

This is where a little bit of description for the daily posts will be done.  A link back to the blog will be provided.

Instagram

This is where you will get a behind the scenes look at what’s going on.  A link back to the blog for the whole story will be provided.

Pinterest

If you don’t have Facebook this is where you want to go to see finished projects.  They are all in one place on this board.  Not only are they class projects, but everything.  And, you can save them to create later.  A link back to the blog will also be available.

I think that’s enough information for now.  Please enjoy your space and feel free to leave comments on what you wish to see.

For the month of August this will be a work in progress as I get this huge project up and running.  But, in the meantime, welcome!
