Take a normal card with a normal stamp and then outline it. Do you see how different a little bit of marker can make a card look?

So next time things are looking a little bit dull take a pen to it.

Remember to think outside the box. You can stamp on more than just cardstock. Recently I ran across an idea to stamp on wood to create those signs that it seems everyone is doing right now. If you stamp on glass with basic black you will want to take a heat gun to fully dry the ink. Ink is not just for paper.

Did you know that our tools have multiple uses? For example, the envelope punch board can also be used to create boxes. I found a perfect tool to be used to find out what measurements were needed to create a box. Go to http://thecraftyowl.co.uk/boxbuster/ and keep it handy. This is awesome! And here is what I made with it.
They are cute boxes or covers for the acetate boxes. I glued inside a piece of designer series paper and then made the cross hatches for tic-tac-toe with washi tape. The markers or pieces are seasonal erasers. Decorate and embellish as needed.

While usually I save Sundays to sleep in, catch up on the mess from the week, and read the paper it’s not the case today. Today we drive to see my husband’s brother that flew in from Germany. It’s a reminder for me to savor the moments you can even if you wanted to sleep in. So, today as I am on the road maybe you will be in your craft room creating. Post a photo of what you created on the Facebook page (or e-mail it to me if you’re not on).

Some days I wake up and try to remember what day is which. They all seem to run together. Pay bills, get the mail, cook dinner… Well, today is different for me at least. I get a chance to hopefully see you! I will be at Yucca Valley United Methodist Church on Onaga until 2:00 pm today! Come by and see what’s new, get a voucher, and a chance to win the raffle!
There’s also plenty of promotions going on. There’s the two for Bingo (which is tonight) as well as the $100K one. Please comment if you want more information on any of these.
If you would like to order please use PWFNAJ3Q or contact me.
Well, I am off to set up this craft fair! Don’t forget to post your creations for points.

Fridays are fantastic if we make them that way. I have to give a huge thank you to everyone that has helped me with my monster goal of $100K. I feel so blessed at the amount of help I have received. So, to give you an update, I am $64.87 away from $100K. Yes, that’s it. I will be running the promotion until the end of the month even if I hit the mark before that. So, THANK YOU!
And now that my heart is full I can give back even more. That’s how this works right? So, I would encourage you today to send a card to someone that is on your thoughts. Have you seen them hanging their head a bit? Does someone need a pick me up? Be that one! Don’t wait for someone to come along. It might be you!
I am back in my craft room now to create some ripples.

On last night’s Facebook Live I turned embossing paste into fluff! You take a heat gun to it until it changes texture.
With practice this becomes very realistic. You can see the difference between my first attempt on the card and my second on the stocking. The only tip I have so far is to make sure your paste hasn’t dried out.

Just a couple of cards that were created yesterday that I thought I would post here.
The Christmas one was created with embossing paste that is dried with a heat gun until fluffy.
The birthday card is using the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on page 5 of the Holiday Catalog. It uses the champagne foil sheets, birthday thinlits, and the new Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Please comment with any questions or contact me if you would like to order.

Some days you intend to stamp and other days every day items become what is used. Don’t be afraid to look outside of the catalog. Today’s tool is a wine glass, specifically the bottom of the glass. I am thinking this and a few other “techniques” will become an oops class. But for now start dipping the bottom of your mug, stemware, or glass to create a new background.
Happy Crafting! (I almost forgot…here is the finished card.)

Joni 🙂
