The new pick up tool is for more than just sequins. It can be used to shape flowers, score card bases, pierce cardstock, loosen stuck dies from paper, remove embellishments, and pick up sequins.

The Designer Series Paper is gorgeous on its own or paired with something. Sometimes you just have to let the paper shine on its own. In this case I accented the paper with a solid piece of cardstock and some ribbon.

Sometimes rest and re-charging comes from some interesting places. I went last night to one of my good friends child’s birthday party. Of course by the time I got there everyone was already gone. But sometimes the best memories come in those still moments when everyone has already gone. She opened her present and gave a big hug while whispering thank you in my ear. A few minutes later she had opened her craft kit and made me my own thank you card.
She gave it to me with a huge smile and her name signed on the back in crayon.
It’s in these moments I get rejuvenated. It’s the reason I do what I do.

Sometimes you have to look at how to give back and some times it smacks you in the face. I wanted to take a minute and say thank you to everyone that contributed for Penny. I stopped by Monday to give her the bag of cards, gift cards, journal, and kit. It was too much to mail, thankfully. I love this big, crazy, crafty family we have. Thank you for showing up and taking care of one of our own.

So, do you hear John Denver? Every time I hear or say Country Lane Suite I think of that song. You know which one. The one stuck in your head now.
Last night I created with this great new suite called Country Lane. I love the colors, textures, and images. Now I have to figure out how to bring the cotton to life. I think that’s next week’s project. But for this week, enjoy the texture and layers that come with this card.

Well, the Wacky Wednesday is me this time. Have you ever had a moment where you think how could I have been that stupid? Well, here I am admitting this to you. Here’s what happened.
Last week we had Card Class and we created this very cute denim pocket card.
So the stitching on the pocket was done free hand. Here’s the problem, mistake, or oops. If you look at the coordinating stamp set Pocketful of Sunshine there are stamps to create this. For those of you that created this rest assured there is an easier way. We just didn’t do it. So, for future creations, please use the stamps as it will make it much easier.

Using the sponge brayer can be rather tricky. I have had some say that they don’t like the lines it produces. Well, today I am using those lines in my favor to create a background. First, I took Pineapple Punch and rolled the entire strip. Then it was Mango Melody and finally Poppy Parade.
If you prefer the lines a little softer then just use your spritzer and add water.
