Resting after working.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Do you know how rewarding a good rest is after working? How good it feels to stretch after a long run? How good a meal tastes after cooking half the day? Rest is so much sweeter after doing something.

How do you rest or celebrate the finish of a project? (Remember each response earns a reward point.)

Self care so you can give back.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. I ran across the quote today about filling my cup first so I have some to pour out to others. It is very easy during the holidays to get drained by what I am supposed to do or people I am supposed to see. Sometimes it is even fun, but it is often too much. This will leave me drained and feeling like I am wrung out without much left.

So I decided to fill myself back up. I am reading again and am starting a new 35 day program called Mindset Reset by Mel Robbins. I have realized that so much of what happens is how I look at it and not what actually is going on. So it’s time for perspective to change. To get back to the ground floor. To fill my cup again.

If you want more information on this free reset program then contact me. I’ll send you the link and you can check it out for yourself. I want more joy in life and I am realizing it is often how I look at things. How is your perspective?

Making dies a different shape.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Have you ever wished that the big detailed die was in a different shape? Well then make it so. Cut the larger die with the detail in it and then run again with the correct shape. You will have the texture that you want along with the shape you desire. It’s a little more work but it will be exactly what you want.

Stamping on tile.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Don’t forget that our ink works on tile, glass, fabric, and more. In this case Early Espresso was used to stamp the deer on a tumbled travertine tile that was not glazed. After it was clear-coated it was allowed to dry for about an hour.

Cleaning up…

It’s Sabbath Sunday and today is a little different than most Sundays. Since Christmas is right around the corner today is a catch up, clean up kind of day for me. Last night was the Open House so I will be cleaning a bit and then taking some inventory. It’s time to clean out the Christmas craft fair inventory and begin for spring and Valentine’s Day. I will put some work in today so I don’t have to tomorrow or Tuesday.

What are you up to today?

Grinch or not?

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. I am finding that everything has a silver lining if you look hard enough. Since we are in the holiday season I will use the term being a grinch. It’s a choice. I can choose to be grateful that I have dishes to wash or I can look at the mess. (When things are super busy sometimes I am glad I chose paper plates.) All of life is about choices. So I will ask you are you choosing to be a grinch or grateful?
