Using a block to glue.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Did you know a clear block can be used for more than stamps? When using the felt accessories you might have trouble getting them to stick. Instead of using glue dots or tear and tape try the multipurpose glue. Place a little on the felt and stick to the base. Then place a clear block over the accessory. There is just enough weight in the block to get the felt to adhere properly.

Acetate box is for more than cards.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Today’s technique is more of a tip.

Soon it will be time to dash out the door and head off to Grandma’s for that infamous turkey dinner. What will you bring? Grab an acetate box and tape it shut on the bottom. Then grab a clear bag. Fill the bag with some of your favorite small candies. (Make sure to leave enough to have a few yourself.) Then place inside the box. Decorate the box with a cute turkey, feathers, something festive. Now, hurry, you might already be late. Safe travels to you.

At peace with rest.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Today is the day to rest and recharge. I usually rest by not doing anything. Anything! But I also enjoy talking to people and being social. So, for today, I am enjoying talking with craft fair goers and simply enjoying being where I am. I love feeling like I am present. It is great to feel at peace and rested while still working. Did I tell you I love my job? Thank you for allowing me to do what I do.

Do you enjoy what you do? Or at least an aspect of it?

Simplify to give back.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

Do you ever feel that you are so busy that you are never present? Do you constantly look at the time and think about where else you should be? Sometimes cutting a few things out or simplifying life means being more present in what you are doing.

What do you need to cut so you can be more present?

Frosted Flossing

It’s Tutorial Thursday! We are talking about frosted flossing today and it’s not the dance. I am taking the Feels Like Frost Paper and creating an elegant card. The floss comes in when I am gathering the ribbon.

To learn more on how to create this card and the middle of it too please go to https://youtu.be/ayJRICOwbGU.

Thread to bunch it together.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended. Usually thread (or sometimes dental floss) is used to stitch something together. But, in this case, it is used to create a new look.

Take our thread (if you don’t have any then use dental floss, just not the mint kind) and wrap it around a thicker ribbon to create a bunched or gathered look.

This creates the illusion of a buckle or the gem to be threaded on to the ribbon.

When a sharpie is your best friend.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Today’s technique is more of a tip. When using your Heirloom Frames Dies and Embossing Folders take a sharpie to them. Take the embossing folder and run your cut card stock through it. If it is lined up perfectly then, before you move the card stock, grab a sharpie. Take the sharpie and put a little tick mark at the bottom of the card stock and maybe even along the sides. That way next time will be lined up perfectly too.
