Let the paper talk.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today is the day that I let the backgrounds speak for themselves. Sometimes I look at a piece of Designer Series Paper and say that is too busy. Instead look at how you can cut pieces out to make accents. It might be too busy as a whole but in pieces itContinue reading “Let the paper talk.”

Take your pick is a great pick up.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! While the Take Your Pick Tool is intended for picking up things like embellishments and little bits I am not sure it is intended for pulling things out of nooks and crannies. If you have a punched out piece thatContinue reading “Take your pick is a great pick up.”

Stamping on tile.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Don’t forget that our ink works on tile, glass, fabric, and more. In this case Early Espresso was used to stamp the deer on a tumbled travertine tile that was not glazed. After it was clear-coated it was allowed to dry for about an hour. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂

Cut rich razzleberryContinue reading “Let the dies do the talking.”

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  Since last night’s Live was about the sale and I didn’t create, I made something new this morning.  I “quilted” a card for you.  I used the Tailored Punch, Cookie Cutter Stamp Set with punch, and the Classic Label Punch.  Pick any Christmas paper (here I used the Dashing Along Designer SeriesContinue reading “Quilting with paper.”

Three textured cards.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  Today I have three cards for you.  They are all done with the same products but in different ways. The first card was done by running the white mat through the embossing folder and then laying the accent pieces over top. The second card was done by gluing the accent pieces beforeContinue reading “Three textured cards.”

Faux Bokeh Card

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  Happy Thanksgiving!  Today’s technique requires a bunch of water and drying time.  It comes out different every time.  You will need aqua painters, some ink, dies, and a stamp for this. To create this card please watch the Bokeh Video (https://youtu.be/cITPRFyiqRw). Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂

Mastering the swipe.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  The swipe is not a hard technique but it does take some practice.  If you push too hard you get too much ink or you could damage your pad.  If you push too lightly then you don’t have enough background and have to start over.  There is definitely a sweet spot. SoContinue reading “Mastering the swipe.”
