All the Same Color is Not Boring

It’s Technique Tuesday! I want to talk to you today about the interest you can bring with all one color. It doesn’t have to be white but in this case it is. I added tons of depth with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder as well as die cut pieces from the new Fitting Florets CollectionContinue reading “All the Same Color is Not Boring”

Where the Hole is the Focal Point

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not normally! Today I want to talk to you about using your dies to create holes as accents. Yes, holes. Instead of cutting out the pumpkin, I cut out the outline of the pumpkin. I then stamped the pumpkin behind to createContinue reading “Where the Hole is the Focal Point”

The negative image of theContinue reading “Using a die for a border.”

When in doubt use more texture.

It’s Technique Tuesday! When using the die cuts don’t be afraid to cut them out of something other than paper or card stock. The dollar store thin foam (sometimes called fun foam) is great for dies. You can stack a few together as well. Today’s image is actually from this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit. HappyContinue reading “When in doubt use more texture.”

Scoring is not always for folding.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Today we are using the scoring tool to not create a fold. Instead the embossed image will be for texture or emphasis. So grab your trimmer, stylus and a ruler, or your score board and start scoring with me. HappyContinue reading “Scoring is not always for folding.”
