It’s Technique Tuesday! Did you earn the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set and don’t know what to do with it? Well, use a portion of that huge stamp and not the whole thing. You can also use it as the main focal point, emboss it, stamp it, color it, etc. In this case I only used about a third of the stamp.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! I don’t know about you but it’s hard to rest when there are piles on my desk. So before I can rest a little cleaning is in order. For me a good to do list and some calendar management goes a long way. I need to prepare to work to not have piles to rest.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward! Have you ever had a week that no matter what you touch it breaks? This is the kind of week (or month) I’ve been having. Cars, heat, my sinuses (allergies, by the way), and I’m not asking what else. And in the midst of that I remember what’s important…health and friends. The rest is just stuff. Now I have quite a bit that I have fixed and still a few things to finish fixing, but it’s stuff.
Here’s my point…keep it in perspective. Good friends are hard to come by. Health is sometimes hard to come by. But stuff can be replaced. Remember when you are giving back what you are investing in.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Do you remember when eyelets were all the rage? Do you remember the toolkit with the little hammer and eyelet setter with punch? Well, today my heat was starting to get fixed (yes, that broke too) and I was asked if I had a small hammer.
I presented my eyelet setter hammer as more of a joke. When he said “perfect” I snickered a bit. It was used to see if a jammed valve would open. While it didn’t budge I was a little tickled that my little hammer had been used on the roof for a stubborn valve.
You never know when or where your crafty tools will get put to use.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Are you resting? I know there is a time change and everything else. Believe me. I know. I have the piles on my desk to prove it. But sometimes you need to walk away and take a breath. You need to do something different to reset your mind.
How do you break up your routine so the little daily things don’t drive you crazy? What is your version of a breath of fresh air?
Mine is a clean craft studio and not as many piles. So I will wake up with no alarms (yes, it is plural) and ease in to my day. And then I will clean, pick up, and get things done. Here’s to a slower day.
