Sometimes the way to give back comes to you.  This year Relay for Life is in 29 Palms.  If you feel like donating in cash or greeting cards please drop them off.  I will stop by on Saturday evening to bring any remaining cards to be signed for Girls Love Mail.  I would encourage youContinue reading “Relay for Life”

Wax is useful.

With the new catalog beginning soon I want to remind you that some things are stiff when they are new.  So here’s a tip for you to take a birthday candle or a piece of unscented wax and use it for grease.  If your new ink pads are sticking or are too stiff for youContinue reading “Wax is useful.”

Tape is for more than holding things together.

Have you ever thought to stamp on a piece of tape?  Me either.  Grab your staz-on ink and cleaner and get going.  You will need masking tape as well as clear mailing tape. Ink your stamp with staz-on and then place your tape adhesive side down on top of the inked image.  Rub lightly.  TakeContinue reading “Tape is for more than holding things together.”

Color run!

How was your weekend?  Mine was eventful.  The first Farmers’ Market in quite some time in 29 Palms went off without a hitch.  If you missed the Rubber Rummage Sale there is still time.  During open times today I will have everything up.  But after tonight the sale is done and in the books.  SoContinue reading “Color run!”

Resting by trying something new.

I don’t know about you but I often like what is familiar and what is comfortable.  I will find myself going to the same restaurant, sitting in the same booth (I prefer over a table), seeing the same waiter/waitress, and ordering the same thing.  It’s easy.  I don’t have to think.  But sometimes your brainContinue reading “Resting by trying something new.”

Making a ripple in this big pond.

Did you see it?  Last night there was a ripple made in our big pond called society.  7 of us got together and talked, laughed, and created.  Cards were made to send for happy mail just because.  They were created to get back in touch with someone and remind them that they were not forgotten. Continue reading “Making a ripple in this big pond.”

Sometimes messy is what is needed.

When I went to OnStage I saw one of the presenters create a background by smearing or swiping their stamp across a glossy paper.  That got me to thinking.  I can create movement with only two dimensions.  So I took some glossy cardstock and basic black ink and did the unthinkable.  I smeared my ink. Continue reading “Sometimes messy is what is needed.”

Stamps are not just for paper.

Do you use your stamps for more than just paper?  Did you know that they could be used for more than paper?  Basically any flat surface can be stamped.  I have been creative on cardstock, wood, fabric, glass, cork, metal, clay, paperclay, and even cookies.  If you stamp into food make sure to clean yourContinue reading “Stamps are not just for paper.”
