Sundays are for rest and a little shopping.

Well, if you hadn’t seen my adventures last night here’s a photo.

I went to go see Tara perform for her first competition.  Thank you for supporting my business so I am free to go and do for the ones I love.

So, today is a day of rest.  After four events this week and Joel travelling I am sitting in my pajamas and enjoying the pictures from this week.  I wouldn’t change it for the world but I am glad today is a rest day.

How has your week been?  Are you resting today?

I’m not sure I will make it back in my craft room today.  Tara and I are off to get a little shopping done and then I need to get everything organized so I can start this week off great.

October 1st is the new year for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.  So, new goals and (best for you) awesome promotions!

If you do create today please post photos on the Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/StampingWithJoni.

It’s Friday!!!

Today’s the day I think more consciously about giving back.  I know we should be doing this every day but Fridays are focused on this (for me).  I hope I touch the ones closest to me on a regular basis.  But today I thought I would do a search for “how to send a card” or “who to send a card to”.  The first one on the list was Operation Gratitude.  These cards go to those serving in the military.  Here is the link if you would like to add this to your Friday, https://www.operationgratitude.com/

Here’s to making ripples today (and every day).  Now go create!

How to roll with your aqua painter.

Some of our tools have more than one use thankfully.  Here’s how to use your aqua painter for more than just painting.  Before you start you will want to make sure that the plastic is smooth on the end without the cap.  If it’s not then grab a nail file or some fine grit sand paper and get that smoothed out.

When your tool is ready to go then you can use it as an overgrown stylus to create an area that is concave.  This will allow the dimensionals to not be seen from any angle and create some great texture for your embellishment.

Here is the link to the video from last night’s Facebook Live on how to do this technique.

And here is the finished card.

Aqua painter is not just for painting.

Have you ever stuck an embellishment or accent piece on with your dimensionals and you can see the edges of them sticking out?  Then get your aqua painter out.  No, I haven’t lost my mind.  I did just say aqua painter.  The top of it or the rounded end is perfect for giving a bit of an edge to an embellishment so you don’t see those dimensionals.  Stick around for tonight’s Facebook Live on http://www.facebook.com/StampingWithJoni to see what I am talking about.

Messy but fun.

Some days you can stay pretty clean and others…well.  Today’s tutorial is taken from Splitcoaststampers.com.  This looks like it would be a mess but be lots of fun.  Does anyone want to try this?

Lots happening…

There’s lots happening in the studio.  And by the looks of the mess I think everyone would agree. 😉

Festival Hangovers

After being out at the Mesa Fest yesterday all day and dealing with the wind, sun, and dust I am feeling a bit hung over.  A little bit beat up.  My face and lips are a little tighter today due to the sun and wind.  I had a good time but I am still a little bit chapped this morning.  Nothing a good shower and moisturizer can’t fix.

Do you ever feel a bit hung over after a great time, memory, or goal is met?  Share your experience in the comments.

Now I am off to rest a bit, wipe down all the dust, and organize just a bit.

If you would like to order online please use host code 2ERTGKSD through Monday night.  If you prefer to order “in person” please contact me.

Now go create!  Don’t forget to post a photo on the page.

Sometimes you get back when you least expect it.

I wasn’t expecting much, but I have to say the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming.  In case you haven’t heard I hit the $100K goal on Monday evening. 🙂  And I figured that once the announcement was made about the goal being hit that things would slow down.  You proved me wrong!  This is why I am here and doing what I do!  Because of you!  If you didn’t love it then I would be watering flowers at Home Depot or doing something else.  Thank you for filling my cup again!

So, for today, I would encourage you to give back or pay it forward.  Sometimes this happens in ways we couldn’t imagine.  The smallest smile or a big gesture of lunch or spending time with someone are all part of this ripple we are creating.  Remember, that we are part of the world we live in.  I firmly believe in making impact even if it is only for one person.  Imagine how that one person feels and who else they impact.

Happy Crafting!

Joni 🙂
