Making something smaller is often helpful.

You’ve heard that if you have a huge project to do that you should break it up into smaller chunks to get it done.  This also prevents feeling overwhelmed.  The same is true with our stamping products.  Just recently I cut a shammy into smaller pieces.  This is so when I use the Stamparatus I have something easy to clean my stamps with.

So my challenge for you today is this…order the Stamparatus and you will get a chunk of shammy so you can clean easier too.  This offer is available until Monday the 18th.  Please use host code Y9H7NWTT when ordering online or contact me to order in person.

Tiled stamping.

This is probably the only time you will hear me say this.  Punch first and then stamp.  Yes, punch first.  Then lay your punches end to end and stamp as if it was one piece.  This will create a tiled look.

Stay tuned on Thursday to see the finished card.

Card class and Serina’s punch box!

There is always a bunch going on…but this week is Card Class!  And next week is Serina’s Darling Punch Box Class!

Card Class invitations went out very late this time and I apologize.  I’ve had illness, two birthdays, and the school year finishing.  It was enough that I thought of cancelling, but I am not a quitter.  And I am better now, thankfully.  And I had cards in my head that needed to be created.  And, I am hoping, you look forward to this.  So, we are off to the races.  One side note, if you regularly attend Yucca Valley’s session I will be e-mailing you directions for the new location.

Serina’s Punch Box Class is on Wednesday, June 20th from 1-4!  We will be creating 18 cards so you can get done and enjoy sitting poolside for the rest of the summer.

Both invitations are out!  If you were not invited just ask me for a copy of the details.

If you would like to order online please use host code Y9H7NWTT to help Jodi earn FREE products!  If you prefer to order in person please contact me.  This order will be submitted next Monday the 18th at 9 pm.

Resting by catching up.

Today’s the day.  Have you heard?  All of the birthday parties, graduations, concerts, and more are done.  This is the first day I have to get caught up.  So be prepared to see the samples for card class, samples for the punch box class, and whatever else is on the list.

Now you know what I am up to.  What are you doing?  Now that it’s summer are you re-arranging your house?  Are you hiding under a blanket and wishing the whole world would just disappear?  How do you cope with conquering the overwhelming pile?

How to create a wood card with color and negative space.

This card is created using the sponge brayer, wood textured paper, vanilla cardstock, and real red ink.  First, sponge the color on to the wood paper with the brayer.  Stop one shade lighter than you want to see if the ink will absorb into the paper any more.  If not, then add more ink.  Wait about a minute to let the paper dry before punching.  Punch out the image and then stamp directly on to the card base.

I have attached a photo of the finished card as well as a video.

P.S.  Since it is graduation day for many showing they have completed their courses I figured we could show what we are hoping to finish.  The contest for today is to show me in a post what project you would like to finish.  For every photo you post separately you will get a ticket.  I will draw a ticket in the morning (contest runs until midnight tonight) for an adhesive package to help you finish this project.

Negative space is a good thing.

We all know how to use a punch.  We know that you can pop them up, use them for gift tags, stretch them out by cutting them in half, etc.  But did you know that punching something out and leaving the hole can also be a great focal piece.  Join me tonight on Facebook Live at 7 pm to learn how to create something stunning from a negative piece.
