Unplugging to re-charge.

It’s Sabbath Sunday for me!  I am resting by getting things cleaned up and getting a few things stamped.  I have many fairs coming up and much to plan for.  And at the end of the day I am hoping to be sitting at the fire pit toasting my marshmallow for my s’more.  I do have two questions for you.

  1.  Do you like cinnamon or regular graham crackers?
  2. Do you spread peanut butter on your graham cracker?

I am off of here to clean and then to go toast some marshmallows.

You never know…

It’s Friendship Friday and this is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.  I have to say you never know when you will be impacted by someone’s “small” deed.  Between Joel (hubby) and I we had asked for about two weeks to help with the marching band specifically.  Funds were down and it was looking pretty destitute.  Every one of you that helped, THANK YOU!  We raised over $2000 in that short time.  You showed up in a big way and I thank you.  You touched me and my family.

So I will leave you with this video since you never know who you will touch and what impact you may have.  It might be something little to you, but it could change someone’s whole world around.

When leaves fall.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  This card was created with the gradient effect.  It can be done with a sponge dauber or baby wipe.

You can wash more than dishes in a dishwasher.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!  Did you know that our clear blocks are dishwasher safe?  You can put your clear blocks in the dishwasher to get that really clean.  Take them out before the dry cycle.  If you don’t have a dishwasher then you can wash in hot, soapy water or simply give a rub down with some hand sanitizer and a clean rag.

Sponge daubers are for more than backgrounds.

It’s Technique Tuesday!  Did you know that your Sponge Dauber can do more than ink edges and create big polka dots?  They can also create a gradient effect for your stamps.  Here is what you need plus a clear block.

When placing or sponging the ink on to your stamp start with the lightest color first.  If you start with the dark then you can’t really see where you have placed your lighter ink.

Tip:  make sure to breathe or huff on your stamp after sponging to bring the ink back to life before stamping.
