Three releases for Sale-A-Bration!

It’s Sale Saturday! There are three releases for Sale-A-Bration and another page of coordinating dies, punches, and stamp sets. I know it’s quite a bit to keep up with, but remember, this is the biggest sale of the year for us! If it wasn’t big with lots of stuff for sale and several releases you’d probably wonder what’s going on. I know I would.

So here’s the link to see what all is for sale. http://www.jonidanielstampinup.net

Click on shop now and go to Sale-A-Bration or Sale-A-Bration Coordination.

If you would like to order please use host code CZHC6WNR to help Lisa. This code will be good until Monday night at 7:30 pm. If you prefer to order in person please contact me.

Look inside too.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. So many times I talk about what to do to volunteer or how to help those outside your home. What about inside? How do you treat those that you live with?

I want to encourage you today to do something special for those closest to you. It doesn’t have to involve spending money. Write a nice note, smile more, have a better attitude…and on and on and on.

For me it is often how I handle things when I am tired and cranky. Do I just say I am tired and need a little space? No. Usually it involves a bit of drama. I want to encourage you to be honest with those you love and not make drama where it doesn’t need to be.

So hug those you love a little longer or a little harder. You never know when you may not be able to any longer.

How to create a floating card.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I am going to show you how to create a floating card. Yes, floating. Since there are only four glue dots that you can see from the back it gives the appearance that the mats and sentiment are floating.

Paper as a funnel.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Did you know that a piece of paper can be used as a funnel? When you are using the embossing powder make sure to have a tray, coffee filter, cheap paper plate, or piece of copy paper underneath. Then you can easily create a funnel to get the powder back in that little bottle.

Thicker is better for puzzle pieces.

It’s Technique Tuesday! When you are cutting out the puzzle dies the thick card stock tends to work a little better. It allows for the pieces to actually fit together and not just lay next to each other. If you are trying to color the pieces then you will want the white instead of vanilla. The vanilla has a yellow undertone when laying color over top. If you want a vintage feel then you will want the vanilla.

Breaking from the routine.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Is it possible to break out of the routine? Are you able to slow down enough to rest? For me this is a much needed break. I run about a hundred miles an hour all the time so for me it is a must to force myself to slow down.

So how do you slow down? Do you just automatically do it? Do you have a certain meal you fix? Or do you just run until you have to take a break?

Here’s to getting out of the rut and looking at things from a different perspective.

Giving back to the next generation.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward. As you read this I will be standing in front of the students of Yucca Valley High School for a Career Exploration Day. I will be talking to them about how to think outside the box. I will be showing them how to live a great life with a creative career that doesn’t require college or a desk job.

This is one of the many reasons I love Stampin’ Up! It’s independent. I can do what I want (to a point). It doesn’t require a ton of education but just a willingness to learn. And the drive to get things done on your own.

I wanted to give back to the generation coming up. I wanted them to know there were options. I wanted them to be educated from all angles, not just what school was teaching them. So I teach creativity and do fairs like this to show people that it is okay to be different.

What do you do to help the next generation?

How to make all the paper pretty.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I have a video on how to make even the Designer Series Papers you don’t particularly care for better. We all have that one sheet or pattern that is just not a favorite. So stamp over it. Emboss over it. Make it your own.

Here is the video link on how this is done…https://youtu.be/ln_85b190P8.
