Only a little Christmas.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today’s card is created by only having a little bit of Christmas stamps. The Holiday Catalog is coming!

Using a bone folder for more than folding.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Today I am talking about the bone folder. This is a great tool to have to crease folds, evenly spread ink, or even curl ribbon or paper. But, would you guess, that it could be used for your hair?

Now I would not have guessed for it to be put in your hair but here it is.

Obviously this is a screenshot of someone else since my hair is super short, but you get the idea.

Making sure your paper is dry.

It’s Technique Tuesday! On Saturday for the Anniversary Party we dropped ink on watercolor paper, let it dry, and punched out a shape for the card. If you are punching out your shape after you watercolor (instead of before) make sure that the paper is really dry. If it is still damp then the punch won’t cut as sharp and you will have fuzzy edges.

Rest with some good conversation.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Sometimes the best rest comes to taking some extra time to talk with someone and get to know them better.

If you want friends you have to make time to be one. I had the privilege recently of spending some time to get to know someone much better.

Don’t get so busy that there is no flexibility in your schedule to have friends. Without great people to surround you and make life full what is the point?

Hope in a Suitcase.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

Have you ever thought about fostering a child or teen? Have you thought about how they get moved around a bunch and often are packing everything they have in a trash bag? Hope in a Suitcase is helping to solve this. They give a child going into foster care a suitcase with basic essentials and one or two comfort items (teddy bear).

Would you like to help? Let me know if this is something we should do.

Please check out the website for Hope in a Suitcase at http://www.hopeinasuitcase.org/.

Give me some feedback and tell me if this is something that interests you.

Wintery watercolor with a hint of glitter.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I am creating an elegant, almost all white Christmas card for you. I start with a Thick Whisper White Card Base. Then I cut a mat out of the Watercolor Paper and a reindeer from the dies in Whisper White Card Stock. I use the Aqua Painter to create the watercolor wash and then add a bit of glitz to it with the Wink of Stella. I also wash the deer in Wink of Stella. And then, the final touch, is to add some of the Frosted Epoxy Drops.

If you would like to watch the creation on video please go to https://youtu.be/rmHlgFbPnig.

Are you always behind?

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Instead of a product today I want to talk about time. Are you always seeming to run behind? Did you not get your Christmas cards out last year? Are you late on birthdays? Maybe you need a jump start.

Did you know that as a demonstrator you get to pre-order out of the catalog? Did you know that you could be looking as of noon yesterday at the Holiday Catalog and planning your Christmas cards? Yes, already!

Did you know that you get 20% off when ordering (and 25% after you reach the first level)?

Did you know that this month you get a bonus just for signing up and a discount next month?

Did you know that there is no negative impact to your credit?

Did you know that if you drop nothing happens except that you don’t get to see things first?

So what do you have to do? No classes, trainings, or social media is required. All that is required is that you buy or sell $300 per quarter (or $100 per month). So take a look at your wish list and let me know if this is right for you.

Go to http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/jonidaniel/jointhefun to read more of the fine print or contact me.

Sometimes the wacky in Wednesday is us! 🙂
