You’ve got a friend.

It’s Friendship Friday!  This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.  I’ve talked about going to get lunch, volunteering, sharing a smile, and much, much more.  I want to remind you that sometimes being a friend is as simple as taking a minute and lending an ear. I have hadContinue reading “You’ve got a friend.”

Let the dies do the talking.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  Today I am letting the dies do the talking.  Sometimes there is a die that needs to stand on its own.  Here is the card and instructions will follow.  Cut thick whisper white card stock at 5 1/2″ on 11″ side.  Score at 4 1/4″ on 8 1/2″ side. Cut rich razzleberryContinue reading “Let the dies do the talking.”

An easy way to lick ’em and stick ’em.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!  If you are finishing up your Christmas cards then you are probably trying to figure out how to not lick all those envelopes.  Protect your tongue from paper cuts.  And I bet you’ve tried a sponge to wet that glueContinue reading “An easy way to lick ’em and stick ’em.”

Giving back locally.

It’s Friendship Friday!  This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.  It has been brought to my attention that one of our local places that gives so much back during Christmas (and the rest of the year too) has been hit hard with some changes recently. Food For Life isContinue reading “Giving back locally.”

Quilting with paper.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!  Since last night’s Live was about the sale and I didn’t create, I made something new this morning.  I “quilted” a card for you.  I used the Tailored Punch, Cookie Cutter Stamp Set with punch, and the Classic Label Punch.  Pick any Christmas paper (here I used the Dashing Along Designer SeriesContinue reading “Quilting with paper.”

Tons of Discounts!

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!  Instead of a single product today I figured we would focus on a bunch.  I think Stampin’ Up! may have lost its mind since there are three full pages of discounts for this year-end closeout.  I know we normally don’tContinue reading “Tons of Discounts!”

Cutting for effect.

It’s Technique Tuesday!  You can mask a project but sometimes the lines get blurred or just don’t come out as clean and crisp as you would like them.  Instead of trying to mask, just cut.  If you cut your card stock before stamping you are guaranteed a clean edge.  You will need a scrap ofContinue reading “Cutting for effect.”

There is lots going on this week.

It’s Management Monday!  There is quite a bit going on this week so I think I will list it out for you. Monday — There is open time at the studio.  Remember that the times have changed.  It is still 10:30-12:30 am but the evening session changed.  The evening is now 5:30-7:30. Tuesday — CardContinue reading “There is lots going on this week.”

So grateful to be still.

It’s Sabbath Sunday!  In the last few days Joel (hubbie) and I have had some pretty big events. Joel coordinated the first ever Tuba Christmas for our area.  There were about 20 players, merchandise, registration, spectators, and volunteers.  It was a great night for music with perfect weather (55 degrees and virtually no wind).  CongratulationsContinue reading “So grateful to be still.”
