Radio-a-thon, sales, promotions, and more!

Well, today is stacking up to be pretty full.  There are plenty of promotions to take advantage of and a little to give back to.  Shall we get started?

The Radio-a-thon on Z107.7 is running today from 12-5 pm.  If you donate $10 or more please contact me.  I have a prize for you for giving back to our kids.  If you can’t call in but still want to donate I will get them to the right place and you will still get a prize.

The Fast Fuse Promotion might be sold out but I did purchase a few extra sets.  If you still want one please contact me directly.

The total out the door is $11.85 unless you need it shipped elsewhere.  Please let me know if you are interested.

If that’s not enough I also have my personal promotion for the snail adhesive running through Monday night.

This is not a corporate promotion so you will need to contact me to order.

Sale-A-Bration is almost half way!  If you would like a copy of the brochure for the second release please let me know.

To order online please use host code ERAKCZSR to help Sandy.  If you want to take advantage of these promotions all orders will go to Sandy unless you tell me differently.

Thank you for being part of this fun, and a little crazy, group.

Giving back by filling up.

Do you feel like everyone is asking for something?  Fundraiser for this, help me with that, and it keeps going.  Do you ever want to say ENOUGH and run away?  What about me?  When do I get a turn?

That’s when you need to take a second, break the routine, and re-charge.  You have to put some in for you and others to take out.

So, instead of focusing on giving back maybe today is the day we need to re-charge.  Fill up your own tank so you have more to give later.

Basket weaving made easy.

This card is so easy when you have a video and pictures to follow.  The background paper is from the second release of Sale-A-Bration as well as the stamp sets.  Please let me know how many copies of the new second release brochure you would like in the comments.

Dimensionals are not just to elevate.

Dimensionals can be used for so many things.  So today I am hoping to get you thinking outside the box a bit.  Listed below are several different ways to use dimensionals (mini or regular size).

  1.  To pop up an accent piece on a card or project.
  2.  To level a card if there is a portion that is sunk in.
  3.  To have a stop in a slide card.
  4.  To have a rail in a slide card.
  5.  To have a barrier for the filler in a shaker card.
  6.  To attach knick-knacks to a shelf.
  7.  To put on the bottom side of a coaster when the cork or felt feet fall off.
  8.  To stop on a door on a doll house.

These are just a few.  Please comment if you have another use for our beloved dimensionals.

Mirror image.

I know we’ve talked about this before but I love this new technique that I have discovered.  It’s how to make a mirror image with the silicone mats.  Take whatever you are stamping and stamp on the mat instead of your cardstock.  Then flip on to your cardstock and rub to transfer.  You will get the mirror image.  This is a great way to extend your stamps.

Rest is a good thing.

Rest is a good thing and by rest I mean a change in routine.  What are you doing today to change it up?  I am doing a little shopping and a nice dinner to celebrate my husband and I’s wedding anniversary.  It was yesterday but both of us had classes and concerts to perform at.  So today it is.  So I will say it’s a good day for some bbq.

Thank you for filling me up.

This has been the beginning of the whirlwind for me.  7 events in 11 days.  Some say I’m nuts.  Some say I have lost it.  And some just shake their head and walk away.  Personally, I love it.  I love getting together with you.  I love the laughter, the hugs, and just gathering together.  Thank you for filling me back up.  This is the reason I do what I do.  You.  The people.

So on this Friday remember to focus on giving back.  You never know who, what, or how you will effect someone else.  Go make your ripples.  Get down to your mailbox and send some happy mail.  Take someone to lunch.  Give someone a smile that desperately needs one.  Make a difference in your own way whether big or small.

Thinking inside the box.

Sometimes thinking inside the box is what it takes.  Here is a box created from one 8 inch square piece of designer series paper and the steps to create it.  You can also use cardstock or specialty paper.

  1.  Take the envelope punch board and punch and score at the 2 inch mark on all 4 sides.
  2. When you have punched all 4 sides then flip the paper over.
  3. Punch and score again at the 2 inch mark.
  4. Take the corner tabs and score from end to end.
  5. Fold and burnish all score lines.
  6. Tuck the corners by folding in half and gluing together.
  7. If you want, glue the inner flaps to the inside of the box.
  8. Fill with desired contents.
  9. Fold top flaps to close.
  10. Use a dimensional, glue dot, velcro, and/or ribbon to secure.
  11. Enjoy!
