This card is so easy when you have a video and pictures to follow.  The background paper is from the second release of Sale-A-Bration as well as the stamp sets.  Please let me know how many copies of the new second release brochure you would like in the comments. Mirror image.

I know we’ve talked about this before but I love this new technique that I have discovered.  It’s how to make a mirror image with the silicone mats.  Take whatever you are stamping and stamp on the mat instead of your cardstock.  Then flip on to your cardstock and rub to transfer.  You will getContinue reading “Mirror image.”

Thinking inside the box.

Sometimes thinking inside the box is what it takes.  Here is a box created from one 8 inch square piece of designer series paper and the steps to create it.  You can also use cardstock or specialty paper.  Take the envelope punch board and punch and score at the 2 inch mark on all 4Continue reading “Thinking inside the box.”

Correction for brusho sealing technique.

I was wrong.  You heard me.  I was wrong.  Now you know I’m not perfect (if you didn’t already know many times over).  Last week’s tutorial for the new brusho product was not completely accurate.  As I continue to experiment with this product I have found that hairspray is not the best sealer.  It isContinue reading “Correction for brusho sealing technique.”

Crystals and magic.

Have you tried the new Brusho product?  I took photos during the entire process so you would know how to use it when you order it.  So let’s figure out how to make those crystals melt and become part of your magical day. First, you will need to tape down your piece of glossy whiteContinue reading “Crystals and magic.”

Dies as embossing folders.

Did you know that your dies can also act as embossing folders?  You can get it to where they leave an image but don’t cut.  So that envelope can have a matching imprint to your cut card.  Here’s how: Make your sandwich for embossing folders instead of dies.  Take out the adapter plate or goContinue reading “Dies as embossing folders.”

Embossing on more than cards.

Embossing can be done on so much more than cards.  If you use a little bit of starch or hairspray you can emboss into fabric.  Today’s project is embossing into a bag.  With the border embossing folders it makes it easy to emboss almost anywhere. So grab a bag and emboss away. Here’s a coupleContinue reading “Embossing on more than cards.”

Dragons and mirrors.

I just figured out an easy way to create a mirror image.  You will need a stamp, ink pad, cardstock, and your silicone mat. Next ink your stamp and then apply to your silicone mat. Take your cardstock and set over image.  Make sure not to bump or move as this will result in aContinue reading “Dragons and mirrors.”

Tags are for more than bags.

Tags can be used for more than tying on a gift bag.  They can also be used as card candy (accent or embellishment pieces for cards).  So the next time you have a tag that doesn’t seem to go with anything make it a card! The designer series paper, punches, and stamps are from theContinue reading “Tags are for more than bags.”

Boxes, favors, and sweets.

Today’s tutorial is brought to you by the Lots to Love Box Framelits.  So let’s jump in! Pick your cardstock that you want to cut.  When using the die make sure the pattern you want facing out is facing up when being cut.  This will allow the score marks to be on the correct side. Continue reading “Boxes, favors, and sweets.”
