Decorating the flap.

It’s Technique Tuesday! I want you to picture something today. So take a breath, sit, relax, close your eyes for a second if you need to (this is not permission to take a nap), and picture this.

It’s a summery sunlit day. There is a slight breeze with a hint of freshness in the air. The mail carrier just arrived and you know there is something pleasant coming in your mailbox instead of the always dreaded adult commitments of bills to pay and forms to fill out.

You open the cap of the mailbox to hear the sound of angels singing. (I know it’s corny, but stay with me.) Inside is a brilliant and yet captivating gleeful communication (also known as happy mail). You notice the envelope is properly stamped and decorated to coordinate with the perfectly imperfect hand-stamped elation connection (your card).

The matter that sets this piece of mail apart is simply the decoration. Not only is it stamped and blinged appropriately, but it also has some marvelous patterned paper cut precisely to cover the once boring white flap of the happiness container.

To get the measurements and directions to achieve this level of elation please join me tomorrow night on the Facebook Live at 7 pm.

Happy Crafting!

With inky fingers,

Joni 🙂
