After seven long weeks the cast is off! Now to start physical therapy and recovery!
On the crafter’s side there are some changes coming too! I will no longer be at the Farmers’ Markets. Instead I will be starting an online shop where you can purchase at any time and have DIY kits, supplies, and finished items shipped directly to you. More to come soon on this!
But, as for now, I am grateful to be able to wear long-sleeve anything again and get a shower all at the same time.
Look for an announcement in about a week for links to the new shop and more!
There’s a gorgeous kit called Painted Wishes that is available for purchase. You create 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs with coordinating envelopes. The labels are foiled to add that elegant metallic sheen that is so desired. This kit is perfect for those that want to be creative without the inky fingers.
February’s highlights look much like January’s did. Keep your fingers crossed that mid-month I might have some good news.
In the meantime I have the cast until the end of January, then a brace, physical therapy, and then finally freedom. Keep your fingers crossed that these steps go quicker than the cast has.
The Filled with Happiness Photopolymer Stamp Set coordinates nicely with the Modern Oval Punch. For this card I will give you alternate uses to using the punch, show you the new Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds, and how to color with the Watercolor Pencils as well as a Blender Pen.
The edge of the Modern Oval Punch is used here to create concave corners for this mat. Please remember to stick the paper in evenly so as to get even corners.
Upon adhering the layers I added a bit of an earthy flair with our new Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds.
Then, after stamping the image with Basic Gray Ink and punching out the middle again with the Modern Oval Punch, I then colored with the Watercolor Pencils. The Blender Pen then floated the color to make it look more like a true water colored image.
When adhering the middle, two layers of Dimensionals were placed to accentuate the punch out.
Did you miss the video yesterday showcasing the stamp set Quiet Reflection? Here’s the link for it on YouTube, https://youtu.be/fNVeEe5NMMk. It can also be found on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
As I start this year in a hotel room waiting for the Rose Parade to start I am reminded to not follow, but chase your dreams!
My hubby has done just that and has succeeded!
As for me, my dream is to have two arms that function again. But, in the meantime, I think I will start doing videos on how to craft single-handedly. Life is often not perfect. It’s up to us to learn to adapt to be able to live our best life.
So instead of goals for the new year, I will remind you to think creatively to live your best life!
