Dancing pandas.
One of the new stamp sets for Sale-A-Bration is Party Pandas and is being used to create this cute card. Take a piece of thick white cardstock cut in half and scored in the middle to create your card base. Cut a piece of basic black cardstock at 4″ X 5 1/4″ to create theContinue reading “Dancing pandas.”
How to emboss on foil cardstock.
Dry embossing on foil cardstock can be a little tricky unless you like the cracked, distressed look. I found to take at least one of the cutting plates out of the stack or sandwich and shim it with a few pieces of cardstock works the best. Basically when you start to push the stack throughContinue reading “How to emboss on foil cardstock.”
Coloring on vellum.
The new Stampin’ Blends are awesome! They dry while coloring on vellum. Finally, something that dries without having to heat set. And there is enough color to block the adhesive. Take a look at the Facebook Live that has been uploaded to YouTube for a full tutorial. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂
Bell accents or ribbon holes?
I just watched the video from Stampin’ Up! for the Stockings Die. Did you know that the curved slit is intentioned to be an accent piece for the bell? It’s not a ribbon slit or hole. Well, now I have a new use for it. If you ever receive a product and don’t know whatContinue reading “Bell accents or ribbon holes?”
Learning to blend.
I figured since the Stampin’ Blends can be ordered tomorrow that I would give you a quick video on how to use them. There are some cute samples and projects with this video so check them out. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂

If you didn’t hear on the Facebook Live last night I announced that the alcohol markers are coming back! Stampin’ Blends will be available starting November 1st. To view the video please go to https://youtu.be/pdpcREmx2Xc. So today’s technique is using alcohol markers and showing how to highlight properly. This is something I need to practice too.Continue reading “Alcohol markers coming soon.”
Heavy metal without your ears hurting.
Today’s technique is brilliant, quite literally. You take the negative space of the die to create a frame. Instead of worrying about the stickiness that is left behind you place the cutouts to create an inlaid effect. The link for the video is https://youtu.be/ajVnCPs4xbU if you would like to see this card being created. Here aContinue reading “Heavy metal without your ears hurting.”
How to roll with your aqua painter.
Some of our tools have more than one use thankfully. Here’s how to use your aqua painter for more than just painting. Before you start you will want to make sure that the plastic is smooth on the end without the cap. If it’s not then grab a nail file or some fine grit sandContinue reading “How to roll with your aqua painter.”
New technique…turning paste into fluff!
On last night’s Facebook Live I turned embossing paste into fluff! You take a heat gun to it until it changes texture. With practice this becomes very realistic. You can see the difference between my first attempt on the card and my second on the stocking. The only tip I have so far is toContinue reading “New technique…turning paste into fluff!”
