Last night’s Live I created two shamrock cards for the upcoming St. Paddy’s Day. One was using the pear out of the mini fruit punch set. The other was using the itty bitty heart from the cookie cutter punch. Regardless of which you choose to create you will need some glue dots and a goodContinue reading “Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!”

Sometimes easy is what it takes.
I have done advanced cards, tutorials, classes, and more. But sometimes keeping it simple is what it is all about. Sometimes the card just needs to get in the mail. Don’t always do a fancy fold. Sometimes it’s the handwritten portion that someone will treasure. So today I am encouraging you to keep a kitContinue reading “Sometimes easy is what it takes.”

How to emboss on foil cardstock.
Dry embossing on foil cardstock can be a little tricky unless you like the cracked, distressed look. I found to take at least one of the cutting plates out of the stack or sandwich and shim it with a few pieces of cardstock works the best. Basically when you start to push the stack throughContinue reading “How to emboss on foil cardstock.”
Coloring on vellum.
The new Stampin’ Blends are awesome! They dry while coloring on vellum. Finally, something that dries without having to heat set. And there is enough color to block the adhesive. Take a look at the Facebook Live that has been uploaded to YouTube for a full tutorial. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂
Bell accents or ribbon holes?
I just watched the video from Stampin’ Up! for the Stockings Die. Did you know that the curved slit is intentioned to be an accent piece for the bell? It’s not a ribbon slit or hole. Well, now I have a new use for it. If you ever receive a product and don’t know whatContinue reading “Bell accents or ribbon holes?”
