Finishing a project.

Do you have a bunch of unfinished projects laying around?  Finish them!  Do you know how good it feels to actually finish?  I often don’t either, but I finished my card last night.  It made me want to finish more projects.  So here is the video tutorial on this card. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers,Continue reading “Finishing a project.”

How to unstick a mistake.

Pour the heat on.  You heard me.  You need some heat to get out of the mess you’re in.  Take your heat gun and from the back unstick your crooked mat, accent, whatever.  It works.  Heat for about 20 seconds and then gently pull your piece off.  If it doesn’t come off easily with aContinue reading “How to unstick a mistake.”

Shamrocks, glitter, and luck.

As St. Paddy’s Day gets closer I am finding other stamp sets to create some luck.  Last night on Facebook Live I created two more cards with shamrocks and no official shamrock stamps.  You just have to look sideways sometimes. Here are the two cards and following is the link for the video. And hereContinue reading “Shamrocks, glitter, and luck.”

Black magic technique updated.

Do you remember about 5 years ago in class we learned the black magic technique?  We stamped on black cardstock and used the white gel pen to accent the stamped image.  This gave an almost 3D look. This technique has had an update. Emboss like normal with the versamark pad, white embossing powder, and theContinue reading “Black magic technique updated.”

Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!

Last night’s Live I created two shamrock cards for the upcoming St. Paddy’s Day.  One was using the pear out of the mini fruit punch set.  The other was using the itty bitty heart from the cookie cutter punch.  Regardless of which you choose to create you will need some glue dots and a goodContinue reading “Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!”

Painters defeat envelopes.

Did you know that the aqua painter can be used to seal envelopes?  Just take the aqua painter and fill with water.  Squeeze the barrel and swipe along the glue strip.  Seal and mail your card, invitation, etc. Here’s to making crafting easier and no more papercuts on your tongue. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers,Continue reading “Painters defeat envelopes.”

Pears can be clovers.

As St. Patty’s Day comes closer I always start to look for cute cards.  This is one of those holidays where I don’t usually buy a specific stamp set but I still want to create something for it.  Did you know that the pear punch in the mini set becomes a leaf for a clover?Continue reading “Pears can be clovers.”

Basket-weaving 101.

Today’s card looks much more complicated than it actually is.  Here are the steps.  Cut white thick card base to 8 1/2 X 5 1/5 inches.  Score at 4 1/4 inches. Cut whisper white cardstock to 5 1/4 inches X 4 inches.  This is your mat. Take a piece of scrap white cardstock for theContinue reading “Basket-weaving 101.”

When re-inkers are also paint.

The re-inker bottles are not just for re-inking your pads.  You can also drop a few drops of color in an aqua painter to make a watercolor wash.  You can drop a few drops of different colors on a baby wipe to create your own “ink pad”.  But today we are going to use theContinue reading “When re-inkers are also paint.”
