As St. Paddy’s Day gets closer I am finding other stamp sets to create some luck. Last night on Facebook Live I created two more cards with shamrocks and no official shamrock stamps. You just have to look sideways sometimes. Here are the two cards and following is the link for the video. And hereContinue reading “Shamrocks, glitter, and luck.”

Black magic technique updated.
Do you remember about 5 years ago in class we learned the black magic technique? We stamped on black cardstock and used the white gel pen to accent the stamped image. This gave an almost 3D look. This technique has had an update. Emboss like normal with the versamark pad, white embossing powder, and theContinue reading “Black magic technique updated.”

Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!
Last night’s Live I created two shamrock cards for the upcoming St. Paddy’s Day. One was using the pear out of the mini fruit punch set. The other was using the itty bitty heart from the cookie cutter punch. Regardless of which you choose to create you will need some glue dots and a goodContinue reading “Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!”
Painters defeat envelopes.
Did you know that the aqua painter can be used to seal envelopes? Just take the aqua painter and fill with water. Squeeze the barrel and swipe along the glue strip. When re-inkers are also paint.
The re-inker bottles are not just for re-inking your pads. You can also drop a few drops of color in an aqua painter to make a watercolor wash. You can drop a few drops of different colors on a baby wipe to create your own “ink pad”. But today we are going to use theContinue reading “When re-inkers are also paint.”
Messy is just the detail you want.
Sometimes messy is exactly what you need. There’s a time and a place for detail work but there’s also a time where you need to be able to smear and just enjoy. This piece was created with pear pizzazz and calypso coral with two sponge daubers. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂
Sometimes easy is what it takes.
I have done advanced cards, tutorials, classes, and more. But sometimes keeping it simple is what it is all about. Sometimes the card just needs to get in the mail. Don’t always do a fancy fold. Sometimes it’s the handwritten portion that someone will treasure. So today I am encouraging you to keep a kitContinue reading “Sometimes easy is what it takes.”
