When you forget your die cutting machine.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!

Today we are talking about using your dies without the die cutting machine (Big Shot, etc.). If you forget your machine or want to emboss instead grab your piercing mat, bone folder, card stock (or designer series paper), die of choice, and washi tape.

Stamp what you want and place your coordinating die over the image. Make sure to use washi tape to secure the die. Tip: You might want to put the washi tape against your pants once or twice so it is not quite so sticky.

Then flip over on a piercing mat or mouse pad or foam and start to rub with your bone folder. If you want an embossed image then only rub until you see an indentation. If you want a cut then you will need to rub until the card stock or paper “tears”.

After rubbing then flip back over and remove the washi tape. You will have an indentation or embossed frame.

Happy Crafting!

With inky fingers,

Joni 🙂
