Not everything lines up.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Today’s tip is to offset when you can. Usually we mat with hopefully straight and even lines but today we are not doing that. We are still lining up evenly but the accent is offset as if it it coming off the page.

I figured this technique out when I was frustrated with the original design and through the punch out down on the table. The grid paper made me realize it could easily be offset. The background paper is from the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. In a pinch I bet you could also use the Grid Paper. Just remember the Grid Paper is much thinner.
