When Stampin’ Up! Meets Vegas!

I finally have an original thought.  I don’t believe I have actually seen this idea anywhere.  I used the Fruit Basket Stamp Set with coordinating mini punches to create a slot machine card.  I am so excited that it is an original. Here is the link to view the tutorial…https://youtu.be/F5cVU4Y1iq8 And here is the photoContinue reading “When Stampin’ Up! Meets Vegas!”

Watercolor pencils and aqua painters, oh my.

I’ve had so much fun with the alcohol markers that I don’t know if we have forgotten about other ways to color.  There are blender pens to be used with the ink pads, re-inkers, or watercolor pencils.  There are the regular stampin’ write markers.  And finally, there are the watercolor pencils with the aqua painter. Continue reading “Watercolor pencils and aqua painters, oh my.”

Finishing a project.

Do you have a bunch of unfinished projects laying around?  Finish them!  Do you know how good it feels to actually finish?  I often don’t either, but I finished my card last night.  It made me want to finish more projects.  So here is the video tutorial on this card. Shamrocks, glitter, and luck.

As St. Paddy’s Day gets closer I am finding other stamp sets to create some luck.  Last night on Facebook Live I created two more cards with shamrocks and no official shamrock stamps.  You just have to look sideways sometimes. Here are the two cards and following is the link for the video. And hereContinue reading “Shamrocks, glitter, and luck.”

Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!

Last night’s Live I created two shamrock cards for the upcoming St. Paddy’s Day.  One was using the pear out of the mini fruit punch set.  The other was using the itty bitty heart from the cookie cutter punch.  Regardless of which you choose to create you will need some glue dots and a goodContinue reading “Lucky the Leprechaun has visited!”

Sometimes easy is what it takes.

I have done advanced cards, tutorials, classes, and more.  But sometimes keeping it simple is what it is all about.  Sometimes the card just needs to get in the mail.  Don’t always do a fancy fold.  Sometimes it’s the handwritten portion that someone will treasure.  So today I am encouraging you to keep a kitContinue reading “Sometimes easy is what it takes.”

Tags can be cards.

Sometimes a tag can make an entire card.  Lots of Labels is used here to create this project.  Here’s how…  Cut 3 green dies. Cut 1 white one. Cut 1 patterned paper one.  Petal Palette is used in the sample. This is the back.  To finish glue the patterned piece and a center accent.  TheContinue reading “Tags can be cards.”

Thinking inside the box.

Sometimes thinking inside the box is what it takes.  Here is a box created from one 8 inch square piece of designer series paper and the steps to create it.  You can also use cardstock or specialty paper.  Take the envelope punch board and punch and score at the 2 inch mark on all 4Continue reading “Thinking inside the box.”
