Being nice to those with a bad day.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

My mom taught me to be kind especially to the ones that are not. “It is easy to be kind to those that already are. The ones that need it often are the least deserved.”

Do you struggle with this? Being kind to those that are mean to you? I can empathize with you.

While it doesn’t make it any easier it still needs to be done. If I am nice to someone having a bad day I have to remind myself that maybe I am the one that will turn their day around.

I looked up the history of the “pay it forward” clause and this is the earliest quote I found concerning just this.

“Apparently, the phrase goes back to 1916 when Lily Hardy Hammond wrote, β€œYou don’t pay love back; you pay it forward ,” meaning that you should repay kindness shown to you to people other than the original benefactor.”

Lily Hardy Hammond was an author that touched on subjects that were generally not talked about. Her most popular authored piece is called “In the Garden of Delight”.

So while you are encouraging a difficult person pick up a copy of her book.

How a square becomes a circle.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!

All right…I teased you yesterday on this concept and showed you by video how to do it last night. So now I want to share this with you if you didn’t make the Live on Facebook. I made a square template to make a circular wreath. Yes…really. Here’s the card.

If you would like to see how this is done please watch the video at https://youtu.be/dPU91z1dd9g. Watch until the end to get how to create the template too! If you comment before Tuesday the 26th I will email you the instructions as well.

Did you know that a square can become a circle? Join me tonight at 7 pm to watch a square do just that.

When all else fails use googly eyes.

It’s Technique Tuesday! As I was working on customer thank you cards I came across a creative block. I have done so many different cards with the Cutest Halloween Bundle. Am I out of ideas for this particular set? Nope, not yet.

I initially placed the background papers on and the punched out words. Well, that wasn’t enough. What to do? Add gems…no. Tear it apart and start over…no. Turn it sideways…no. Then what? Add googly eyes, of course. I took the sentiment and decided to run with it.

Just remember that corny is sometimes the answer.

If you create something with some sass please post it to my page, https://facebook.com/StampingWithJoni.

Take the dog for a walk.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! Today is the day to rest so you can be recharged for the week.

As I was looking for what to write about I stumbled upon an article for “45 Best Self Care Sunday Ideas”. Some of my favorite ideas are to sleep in, have a grooming day, get in fun exercise, grab take-out, and a few more. If you want to read the entire article please go to https://healthyhappyimpactful.com/self-care-sunday-ideas-routine/.

So tomorrow you will find me sleeping in, doing my nails, taking the dog for a walk, and maybe grabbing some take-out.

What will you do for self care?

Where it goes.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

Last week I talked about finding out where your money goes by looking up corporations. Well, let me be transparent with you. My money goes to putting gas in the car to deliver orders, paying for my daughter’s education, and keeping the lights on so we can have classes and events. There is some that goes back to you with VIP events, Christmas parties, and more.

Have you looked up any company that you regularly buy from? Were you surprised at the results?

I have to say that I didn’t look up where the money goes but I did look up companies that their products are made in America. I went to https://americansworking.com/ to see what was made right here. Did you know there is also a Made in America Store? There are physical stores or a website which can be found at https://madeinamericastore.com/.

Here’s to finding out where things are made.

Santa Tag Kit & Treat Bags

It’s Tutorial Thursday! This is not much of a tutorial since it’s a kit, but I thought you’d want to know what it looks like unboxed. Here are the in’s and out’s of the new Santa Tag Kit (https://www.stampinup.com/products/love-santa-tag-kit?hostcode=GGQ7FZ3K) & Treat Bags (https://www.stampinup.com/products/love-santa-treat-bags?hostcode=GGQ7FZ3K).

They are cute and well done. When I say this I mean the die cuts are easy to punch out, the directions can be followed easily, and the whole kit is easy to create.

Please watch the video to see these tags completed in real time and also a bonus card at https://youtu.be/Yut6gZFlXa0. Comment on the video by Tuesday the 19th and order the kit to get a set of the Treat Bags FREE!
