It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Today instead of a tag being the accent or side note it is going to be the focal point.
I cut two Tailored Tags from the new dies, but inked them before. I then tied some gold Simply Elegant Trim between the two to “tie” it all together.
Watch tonight at 7 pm on the Live to see how this is done.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to show you something completely different. I’m not sure you have seen this before. I want to show you how to color with your dies. Yes, your dies.
First, you get a die that you want to be outlined in a color. Then you dip it in a color of your choice. Be very careful to just set it down as to not cut the ink pad. Here’s the trick…to not get your fingers full of ink while pulling it up. You can use the putty side of the Take Your Pick Tool and a tweezers to help with this. Then place on your card stock making sure to not slide the inked die around. Run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine as usual. You will have a perfectly colored outline afterwards.
To clean everything simply wipe with a rag and some of the Stampin’ Mist cleaner, a baby wipe, or rinse under cold water at the sink.
It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week!

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to focus on resting to get recharged for the upcoming week.
Did you know that it is important to take a rest or break from social media? I know, this is kind of ironic since you are reading this on social media. Put that aside and consider why it is important to take regular breaks from social media. Here are some reasons.
It’s Sale Saturday! This is last call for the retiring products! Can you hear the bell ringing and the bartender yellin’…”lllllaaaaaassssstttttt ccccaaaaallllllllllllllll, get ’em while you can”?
I hope you can hear it since I’ve been talking about it for quite some time. This is your last chance to get your retiring items from the current Annual Catalog. The last order from this catalog goes in on Monday at 7:30 pm. The new Annual Catalog begins on Tuesday, May 4. Tuesday!

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.
Did you know that there is actually a Pay It Forward Day on April 28? Now don’t be bummed. You only missed the recognized day. Every day is a pay it forward day.
So as I was searching for something to write about it for today’s blog post I started googling pay it forward. And I stumbled across Pay It Forward Day on April 28. There is also an instagram account (@payitforwardday) and website (https://globalpayitforwardday.com/). It started in Australia but has spread to over 85 countries, the USA being one of them. Did you know that?
This is not a non-profit or organization for a specific group of people. It is simply a site encouraging everyone to stand for kindness. If you want to read more about this simply follow the link to the website above. And, I have to say, if you need a little encouragement that the world is not gone wrong keep this page bookmarked. There are lots of great photos and ideas on how others are helping. It might just encourage you to continue to pay it forward.
It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I want to talk to you about Better Places. Not better places to be but Better Places, the stamp set for hosts.
Did you know that from May 4-31 if you host (or buy) and get orders totaling $250 or more you get an additional $25 for FREE in host rewards? That’s $25 more for just getting to the second step. And I say this because this time around we have some awesome host stamp sets and paper.
So back to Better Places. This stamp set has a landscape that can be colored for any theme from baby to masculine to girly-girl. It can be blended, water-colored, or left plain to name just a few techniques. For today we are going to blend with the Blending Brushes.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Have you ever made a mess? I know I have. Now the trick is knowing how to clean it up.
The Stampin’ Blends are popular in the coloring world. When you first get them or if you haven’t used them in a while they will often “splash” a bit of ink or alcohol on to whatever surface you are over. If you are over your wood dining room table here is how to clean up those beloved splatters.
Grab a soft rag and a bit of hand sanitizer and rub gently. The hand sanitizer will take out those beloved spots and leave you with just your wood. Make sure to polish afterwards as the wood will be stripped in that spot.
