When dies fit your designer series paper.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to remind you to look at all of the components of a suite or bundle. In the Pansy Petals Suite Collection you get the Pansy Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set, Pansy Dies, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, and the Bumblebee Trinkets. Did you know that the dies coordinate not only with the stamps but also with the paper?

So remember to look at all the components together and apart.

Rest comes after pain.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest and recharge to get ready for the week.

I have a personal story today. My daughter went in this last Tuesday for surgery on her gums. Usually if you are in pain you take a pill, apply ice, or take a shot of whisky. But my daughter went to sleep. She took a long nap after her surgery, went to bed early, and just slept it off. She woke up the next morning a bit sore but not in much pain. So then I wondered if she knew a secret.

Here’s the secret…we don’t always have to push through. Sometimes we just need a nap and to take it easy. Your tolerance for pain and how fast you recover may be linked to how much sleep you get. Take a look at this article where I am getting some of my information, https://www.webmd.com/pain-management/news/20121130/more-sleep-less-pain.

P.S. Don’t forget about the Clearance Rack too!

With heartache comes support.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

Today’s request is one that is a bit personal. One of our crafters has a grandson that has just recently deployed. Everyone in the family is taking it in stride but that absent person does leave a hole. So if you would like to send some encouraging letters or cards to him please reply and ask me for his mailing address.

Thank you for being part of this crafty family.

Embossing on Vellum

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I want to show you how to emboss on vellum, all vellum.

First you will want to have a card base, outer mat, and inner mat. The inner mat will be of your vellum. You will also need a few scraps of card stock to create your accent pieces.

For this card you will need the above supplies as well as a detailed embossing folder (small accents) and a punch or two.

The main thing I want you to take away from this is that you can do quite a bit with vellum, whether it be the card stock or the shimmery type.

For a complete video on how to create this card please go to https://youtu.be/POU74S-xlW4.

The Muppets are in the Pansies.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!

Do you remember when I told you to look at things sideways and upside down? Well, today I didn’t have to do that. Instead I had the Pansy Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set on my desk. I looked down and saw the Muppets…the Swedish Chef to be exact. Tell me if you see it.

Here’s the stamp set:

And here’s the Swedish Chef,

And here’s the stamped image,

What do you think? Do you see it?

Turn it sideways.

It’s Technique Tuesday! When you think you have done all you can with a stamp set, die, or punch then turn it sideways.

We have done quite a bit with the Simply Elegant Punch but I need to ask you…have you turned it sideways? Recently Stampin’ Up! blogged about this very thing and it caught my eye. Here’s a screenshot of what I am talking about.

Instead of that punch facing up they turned it sideways.

No News is Good News!

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest and recharge so you can hit the ground running for the week.

I have noticed that the less news that I watch or read the happier I am. Have you found that to be the case as well?

Since we are seeking peace to truly rest I would encourage you to turn off the news to achieve just that. Maybe not for good, but at least today.

Happy Crafting!

With inky fingers,

Joni 🙂
