Aqua painter is not just for painting.

Have you ever stuck an embellishment or accent piece on with your dimensionals and you can see the edges of them sticking out?  Then get your aqua painter out.  No, I haven’t lost my mind.  I did just say aqua painter.  The top of it or the rounded end is perfect for giving a bitContinue reading “Aqua painter is not just for painting.”

Messy but fun.

Some days you can stay pretty clean and others…well.  Today’s tutorial is taken from Splitcoaststampers.com.  This looks like it would be a mess but be lots of fun.  Does anyone want to try this? Here’s the link for directions, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/paintswiping/. Let me know if you want to attempt this or if you do. Happy Crafting! Lots happening…

There’s lots happening in the studio.  And by the looks of the mess I think everyone would agree. 😉 It’s just like the weather outside.  I’m trying to figure out what season it is too.  So, I should probably tell you what’s coming up. Tomorrow night we have the encouragement card class.  Thank you toContinue reading “Lots happening…”

Festival Hangovers

After being out at the Mesa Fest yesterday all day and dealing with the wind, sun, and dust I am feeling a bit hung over.  A little bit beat up.  My face and lips are a little tighter today due to the sun and wind.  I had a good time but I am still aContinue reading “Festival Hangovers”

Sometimes you get back when you least expect it.

I wasn’t expecting much, but I have to say the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming.  In case you haven’t heard I hit the $100K goal on Monday evening. 🙂  And I figured that once the announcement was made about the goal being hit that things would slow down.  You proved me wrong!Continue reading “Sometimes you get back when you least expect it.”

Outlines make things stand out.

Take a normal card with a normal stamp and then outline it.  Do you see how different a little bit of marker can make a card look? So next time things are looking a little bit dull take a pen to it. Happy Crafting! With inky fingers, Joni 🙂

Stamping is not just for paper.

Remember to think outside the box.  You can stamp on more than just cardstock.  Recently I ran across an idea to stamp on wood to create those signs that it seems everyone is doing right now.  If you stamp on glass with basic black you will want to take a heat gun to fully dryContinue reading “Stamping is not just for paper.”

Boxes out of envelopes.

Did you know that our tools have multiple uses?  For example, the envelope punch board can also be used to create boxes.  I found a perfect tool to be used to find out what measurements were needed to create a box.  Go to http://thecraftyowl.co.uk/boxbuster/ and keep it handy.  This is awesome!  And here is what IContinue reading “Boxes out of envelopes.”

Here’s to a new start…

It’s Monday again.  I look forward to Mondays as they are a new start to the week.  For me it’s all about perspective.  That’s it.  If I think it will be bad, it probably will be.  So, here are the opportunities to get your creative mojo going. This Saturday the 23rd from 10-10 the MesaContinue reading “Here’s to a new start…”
