It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!
Our inks can be used for so much and so many different materials. Besides paper or card stock; you can also stamp on wood, glass, cork, plastic, shrink plastic, fabric, and pretty much anything you can imagine. Did you know that you could also stamp on masks? Yes, masks. So if you need a little flair to those plain boring face coverings get them in the craft room.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today’s technique is not for a specific card but instead how to make your paper look better.
Have you run a piece of foil through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and it is all marked up? There’s a way to minimize this. When you get new cutting plates designate one plate as your top one and the other as your bottom. The bottom one will get scratched up but the top will have minimal marring. If you keep your top and bottom plates consistent then you will have less scratches on your foil.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to focus on resting to get recharged for the week.
I don’t know about you but I have a hard time adjusting to the time changes. The fall one isn’t so bad but spring can be a real booger for me. So I found some tips on how to adjust. Now many of the articles talked about preparing days ahead. Well, I don’t know about you, but that’s not going to happen around here. So instead I will prepare after so at least I can get some sleep tonight.
Convince yourself you slept well. Ask your brain to tell your body you did okay. In other words, fake it ’til you make it.
Go for a quick walk. Exercise can help you feel refreshed and ready to go.
Have a little bit of caffeine. (Probably my favorite tip.)
Take a nap. (30-40 minutes is recommended otherwise you don’t sleep at night)
Watch what you eat. I don’t mean diet. I mean grab foods that have stimulants in them like dark chocolate, aged cheese, and dried fruit.
There is not much on promotion right now but I will remind you about the Clearance Rack, the new Butterfly Brilliance Collection, and that the 2019-2021 In Colors retire in just over a month. The colors are pictured below.
Please do not wait until the very end to order your ink pads, card stock, designer series paper, re-inkers, blends, or markers as some of these products are on back order currently. I am not sure about supply once the retiring list is announced on March 24.
If you would like to partake of the order bonus this week please order $50 or more in product from http://www.stampinup.com?hostcode=QGJVCUSK. With this $50 or more order you will get all the materials sent to you to create the 3 cards and bonus project for FREE. This includes the card bases, envelopes, mats, punch outs, and pieces to create the leprechaun overalls. You will need the stamps, ink, and adhesive.
It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.
So hopefully you know that the 6th Annual Rubber Rummage Sale is coming up on Saturday, April 3. But do you know who will benefit from all the extra goodies that don’t get picked up? I don’t either. So I am asking you where they should go.
If you have a suggestion of where to donate please contact me. I will be collecting names through Saturday, March 20 and then I will ask for your vote. So please put your thinking caps on and let me know who needs crafty items.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!
There are so many uses for the common, manual toothbrush. I know besides brushing my teeth I also use a toothbrush to clean around the faucets, stamp into ink to create a background, and so much more. But, did you know, that a toothbrush can also be used to clean the track or groove of your Paper Trimmer?
If the last few sheets of card stock have been a bit fuzzy or your blade just doesn’t seem to be cutting perfectly don’t replace the blade just yet. First grab your toothbrush and clean out the track or groove. Sometimes a fiber from the card stock is stuck down in there preventing the crispest of cuts. So before you replace your blade give a quick brush or clean.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to show you how a blender pen is similar to a magic wand.
So when you are creating and you get to the end of your project, but still have to color, you might tend to be a bit messier than in the beginning. I know I am. Well, I believe I have found the magic wand. As I am scribbling with my Watercolor Pencils (http://www.stampinup.com/products/watercolor-pencils?demoid=2008407) I don’t have to worry about how messy I am. I do simply need to stay within the lines, but I don’t have to fill every inch of space or make sure my pressure is even. Instead, after I am done, filling in the color with the pencils I grab my magic wand, the Blender Pen (http://www.stampinup.com/products/blender-pens?demoid=2008407).
