It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.
I would be remiss in saying that I haven’t been working on new ventures and new goals for 2021. I have sat and waited for things to get better or back to normal. I hope they will, but in the meantime I am choosing to thrive and not just survive.
I am choosing to not complain.
I am choosing to put the work in.
I am choosing to block time off for my family.
I am choosing to constantly remind myself that God is in control and not me.
What are some of your goals for 2021?
I would like to leave you with this quote to start 2021.
May you find peace, blessings, and, most of all, Happy New Year!
It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I have 4 cards to show you, 2 cards to create, and one box to stencil. And all of this from two die cuts. Just two. I will be using the succulents bundle and our new foil paper.
For today’s projects you will need:
card bases
mats
die cuts from foil
blending brush
mint macaron ink pad
pear pizzazz ink pad
rich razzleberry ink pad
basic gray ink pad
memento pad
For a complete video with instructions please go to https://youtu.be/x_3hnYavmuA. You will see 4 cards shown, 2 cards created, and a box stenciled.
It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not originally intended!
In this case I am using the new Succulents Dies to create four different cards with just one die. Not a set of dies, but one die. Are you ready?
So I cut out the background and then used it as a stencil to create this colored background.
Then I used that same background and wiped it off with a paper towel. I then used Mini Glue Dots rolled up and glued it to a different card using the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.
I then had one of the runs through the die cut machine that gave me less than what I expected. I had cut the foil paper too small so I didn’t get a full image. Instead I cut the scraps off and created accents.
To see the fourth card, a new box, and how to create the stenciled look please join me at NOON for my Facebook Live or on the replay after.
It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to show you how to use a new product of ours called the Blending Brushes. They will be available at the beginning of January and are $12 for a set of 3.
You grab a die cut that is a background or has a big cut-out and a piece of foil, acetate, window sheet, or card stock. You will also need a piece of Whisper White or Basic White Card Stock as well as a Blending Brush. After you cut out your die on the foil then you are ready to begin. Hold the foil die cut over the white card stock. Then use the Blending Brush to swirl color on to the background. In this case I used Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, and Rich Razzleberry for ink.
For complete instructions on this technique please plan on joining me on Wednesday at NOON for the Facebook Live at https://facebook.com/StampingWithJoni where I will be demonstrating this. If you can’t make the noon time then plan on catching the replay any time after that.
It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest and recharge for the upcoming week.
Do you ever feel that you need to take a break to get back on track and re-focus? This is great, but remember to tell yourself when to return so your break doesn’t become procrastination and spiral out of control.
Usually I would have something to blog about here, whether it be about friendship or crafting techniques. But today I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I will demonstrate how to create an easy and not traditional New Year’s card.
This card uses the Memories and More Card Packs. These packs are designed for scrapbook pages, but can easily be trimmed to fit mats and accents on cards too. For all the measurements and a supply list please go to https://youtu.be/G9JJNgqKido.
