No drama here.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest so you can recharge for the week.

Today I want to talk to you about finding rest in not having unnecessary drama in your life. You can do this by just enjoying your life and not being concerned with that which you know nothing about. I am speaking from personal experience. No, it’s not you. I promise.

I recently had to let go of someone close that kept dragging me into circumstances that were not bringing me closer to my dreams. They were helping with theirs, but it was not mutual. So make sure that your friends, relationships, and (to an extent even) your work environment are mutually beneficial. There may be seasons where it is more one-sided but make sure that it comes back around.

Seasons for paying it forward.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

Even though I live in the desert where there is not much to speak of when talking about the four seasons, I want to remind you that there are seasons. The seasons I am talking about are both literal and figurative. The literal ones I know you can figure it out so I will go on to explain the figurative ones.

The figurative seasons I am talking about are where you are in life. Generally speaking as you grow older you are able to help more. Since you have more wisdom you know how to do things and also to advise. But when you are younger you tend to not have the wisdom but you do have the energy. I would encourage you in every season to recognize what you have.

So when you are younger help more with the physical things. And as your body can’t do as much then help with how to do things or the planning stages.

I want you to realize that not every season in life has all things. And some seasons you are blessed with others helping and you can’t do much. So whatever season you are in, learn from it. Learn how to take a compliment or some help. Learn how to help or how to advise. But whatever it is, do it with kindness and good intent.

When aliens land in your perfect plants.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Did you know that the aliens have landed? Remember when I said to turn things every which way to see what else you can see. Well, I turned my Perfect Plants Dies over and around and found aliens. (cue scary music here)

Do you see them too?

When dies fit your designer series paper.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Today I want to remind you to look at all of the components of a suite or bundle. In the Pansy Petals Suite Collection you get the Pansy Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set, Pansy Dies, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, and the Bumblebee Trinkets. Did you know that the dies coordinate not only with the stamps but also with the paper?

So remember to look at all the components together and apart.

Rest comes after pain.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest and recharge to get ready for the week.

I have a personal story today. My daughter went in this last Tuesday for surgery on her gums. Usually if you are in pain you take a pill, apply ice, or take a shot of whisky. But my daughter went to sleep. She took a long nap after her surgery, went to bed early, and just slept it off. She woke up the next morning a bit sore but not in much pain. So then I wondered if she knew a secret.

Here’s the secret…we don’t always have to push through. Sometimes we just need a nap and to take it easy. Your tolerance for pain and how fast you recover may be linked to how much sleep you get. Take a look at this article where I am getting some of my information, https://www.webmd.com/pain-management/news/20121130/more-sleep-less-pain.

With heartache comes support.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

Today’s request is one that is a bit personal. One of our crafters has a grandson that has just recently deployed. Everyone in the family is taking it in stride but that absent person does leave a hole. So if you would like to send some encouraging letters or cards to him please reply and ask me for his mailing address.

Thank you for being part of this crafty family.

Happy Crafting!

With inky fingers,

Joni 🙂
