It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week!
I am closed today for the holiday. Please join me next week for Open Day sessions.
Here is your reminder that this is Card Class Week! Let me know that you are coming! Today is the deadline to let me know that you are coming to Thursday’s session, creating on a Monday, or getting it to go!
If you would like to order to help Betty who is hosting Card Class please use the host code link https://www.stampinup.com?hostcode=9WFQCKHE. This will be valid through Monday, September 13.
On Saturday I will be up in Landers for the 2nd Saturday Craft Fair from 10-2! Join me to look at retired sets, favors, cards, and more!
It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest to recharge for the week.
Rest is not just getting enough sleep. It’s also being at peace, knowing you did your best, exercising, and so much more. It’s being at peace mentally, physically, and spiritually.
If you’ve been run down go to bed a bit earlier so you get a little extra sleep. I know when my body is sore I tend to need a little extra zzz’s to mend those muscles.
If you can’t focus, are restless, or indecisive you might need to rest mentally. My way of doing this is to check out in the gym. You can also start to take walks as the weather is starting to cool off. You might also need to turn off the social media and/or news for a bit to allow your brain to reset.
And if you are feeling a bit impatient or on edge you might need an emotional rest. Talk to a friend to get it out and stay away from those that are negative or bring out the negative in you.
However you need to rest make sure to find a way to release so you are content to be where you are.
We are halfway through with Sale-A-Bration! What’s on your wish list? Is there something you need to see in person? Let me know so we can coordinate.
There is a sign up bonus right now that can save you almost the cost of the starter kit. Between the bonus bundle being offered and our regularly great deal it is a steal. Ask me for more information on this! And the only qualification is to buy or sell $300 in products a quarter. No credit report pulled and no negative anything for dropping. But this only lasts until the end of September.
It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.
I don’t know about you but I have found myself doubting what I am doing more in the last two years than I ever have. What meaning or purpose does it have? Does it make enough difference to continue with the effort? These are doubts that run through my head in those low, quiet times. They are not there all the time, but often enough to make myself question things occasionally. Do you have moments like this?
And what I need to remember is that in my memories those pivotal moments were not usually big events. Usually it was a teacher, mentor, or friend simply leaning over and smiling. It was a friend sending a card or a big hug from that favorite auntie. The gestures don’t have to be big, but intentional.
These memories remind me to remember the smiles on crafters’ faces, the laughter, and the friendships that are started over stamps, ink, and paper. In those moments of doubts I remember what Mother Teresa said. “If you can’t feed a hundred people, feed just one.” I may not be able to reach thousands but I can touch you. And if today has more laughs and smiles because of card class or whatever event then I have achieved so much success. This year I am being taught to be present. Don’t overthink and enjoy the moments. Thank you for being part of those moments with me.
It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I want to show you how a simple embossed vellum layer can add so much to your card.
For these projects you will need:
Thick Basic White Card Stock
Coordinating Solid Color of Card Stock for Mat
Inked in Expressions 12X12 Specialty Designer Series Paper
Vellum Card Stock
Stampin’ Seal +
Mini Glue Dots
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Artistically Inked Stamp Set
For complete instructions please watch the video at https://youtu.be/2xpHxT98zdI. In the video I also show two other versions of these same cards. If you watch and comment before Tuesday, September 7 I will email you the directions for free!
It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!
Did you know that if you cut something out and it is too big you can trim it down? In this case I cut one of the flowers from the Summer Shadow Dies in half and used it in two places.
It’s Technique Tuesday! What do you do when you only have the dies? You let them speak or shine on their own.
Recently I picked the Summer Shadow Dies as part of a Sale-A-Bration order, but I forgot that I had not ordered the stamps. So instead of waiting and ordering again I decided to use just the dies.
Have you done this before? Have you forgotten half of the order?
It’s Management Monday! Here’s what’s happening this week!
I am holding Open Day sessions. Come if you are working on a project, have questions about a product, pick up your Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Brochure, or simply want to say hello.

On Friday I will be at a craft fair called Bazaart Nights from 6-10 for the last time! Come see different artists and crafters. Be watching my instagram (@stampingwithjoni) or facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/StampingWithJoni) for new creative things being made and more during the week.
Did you miss the Pay It Forward Event? You can still donate cards until August 31 or cash to help with postage.
It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest so you can recharge for the rest of the week.
I don’t know about you but I struggle with the concept of doing nothing and not feeling guilty. It is hard for me to take a true day off when nothing is planned. It is immensely harder for me to not think about what I should be doing. So I would encourage you (and myself) to take a true rest day and have peace of mine knowing that there should not be any “I should do…” running through your mind.
As one of my coaches used to say…work hard so when you take time off you deserve it.
