It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

When I haven’t had much time to think about things I tend to use google. Lately not anything catastrophic has happened so I haven’t needed rescuing. I know my friends are still there but as I sit down to right this blog I have a bit of writer’s block. So instead I will search for how to get some new ideas.

It’s Tutorial Thursday!

For this card you will need:

• Thick Basic White Card Stock cut to 4 1/4″ X 11″. Score at 5 1/2″ on the 11″ side.
• A matching solid card stock color (Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet used) cut at 5″ X 3 3/4″ for the outer mat.
• Watercolor paper cut at 4 1/4″ X 3″.
• Flowing Flowers Cling Stamp Set (or any stamp that is not an outline only stamp)
• Stampin’ Write Markers — Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, and Tahitian Tide
• Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water
• Stampin’ Seal

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended! Today instead of a product I want to talk to you about a technique.

Normally when we watercolor we talk about getting the paints and a brush out. Well, not today. Today we are going to watercolor with no brush and just some markers and a bottle of water. If you want to see it done then please join me tonight at 7 pm on my Facebook page.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Have you hit a creative rut? The more you sit and stare at your crafting space the more frustrated you get? I can understand that all too well. I have gone through periods of time where there is just no creative mojo. So I thought I would give you an idea on how to find some project ideas. Because without ideas you have no techniques.

I usually go to Pinterest. I search for a certain stamp set or even a specific catalog. And the ideas are there in an overwhelming wave.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest so you can be recharged for the week.

Well, today is Mother’s Day. For all of you out there that are a Mom or have helped raise kids Happy Mother’s Day.

I want to share with you a bit of a story right now. The day starts like any other but today is supposed to be different. It’s Mother’s Day. It’s assumed that the cooking shifts over to my husband and daughter just for today. So the clanking and banging begins in the kitchen. It’s a bit louder than usual but it’s okay. Nothing’s broken. It’s a bit of a mess, nothing a mop can’t fix. As brunch hits the table my husband asks me how do you time everything with ease? I say one simple word…practice.

In that moment there was a bit of a shift. He has taken a moment to do what I do and realizes that it takes a minute to perfect the ease of managing everything. You have to let things go so you can appreciate each other. If you do what he does and vice versa you have a better appreciation for what each person goes through with the chores they take on to keep the house running.

Once in a while change things up so you can understand what each person does. I know for me this has led to a better understanding of what happens around here. It has also allowed a bit of progress in some routines that may not have been working efficiently. Don’t be afraid to change things up once in a while.
