Sundays are usually for rest…

While usually I save Sundays to sleep in, catch up on the mess from the week, and read the paper it’s not the case today.  Today we drive to see my husband’s brother that flew in from Germany.  It’s a reminder for me to savor the moments you can even if you wanted to sleep in.  So, today as I am on the road maybe you will be in your craft room creating.  Post a photo of what you created on the Facebook page (or e-mail it to me if you’re not on).

Today is craft fair day!

Some days I wake up and try to remember what day is which.  They all seem to run together.  Pay bills, get the mail, cook dinner…  Well, today is different for me at least.  I get a chance to hopefully see you!  I will be at Yucca Valley United Methodist Church on Onaga until 2:00 pm today!  Come by and see what’s new, get a voucher, and a chance to win the raffle!

There’s also plenty of promotions going on.  There’s the two for Bingo (which is tonight) as well as the $100K one.  Please comment if you want more information on any of these.

If you would like to order please use PWFNAJ3Q or contact me.

Well, I am off to set up this craft fair!  Don’t forget to post your creations for points.

Fridays are fantastic…

Fridays are fantastic if we make them that way.  I have to give a huge thank you to everyone that has helped me with my monster goal of $100K.  I feel so blessed at the amount of help I have received.  So, to give you an update, I am $64.87 away from $100K.  Yes, that’s it.  I will be running the promotion until the end of the month even if I hit the mark before that.  So, THANK YOU!

And now that my heart is full I can give back even more.  That’s how this works right?  So, I would encourage you today to send a card to someone that is on your thoughts.  Have you seen them hanging their head a bit?  Does someone need a pick me up?  Be that one!  Don’t wait for someone to come along.  It might be you!

I am back in my craft room now to create some ripples.

Happy Crafting!

New technique…turning paste into fluff!

On last night’s Facebook Live I turned embossing paste into fluff!  You take a heat gun to it until it changes texture.

With practice this becomes very realistic.  You can see the difference between my first attempt on the card and my second on the stocking.  The only tip I have so far is to make sure your paste hasn’t dried out.

Creating and having fun.

Just a couple of cards that were created yesterday that I thought I would post here.

The Christmas one was created with embossing paste that is dried with a heat gun until fluffy.

The birthday card is using the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on page 5 of the Holiday Catalog.  It uses the champagne foil sheets, birthday thinlits, and the new Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Please comment with any questions or contact me if you would like to order.

Stamping with all things.

Some days you intend to stamp and other days every day items become what is used.  Don’t be afraid to look outside of the catalog.  Today’s tool is a wine glass, specifically the bottom of the glass.  I am thinking this and a few other “techniques” will become an oops class.  But for now start dipping the bottom of your mug, stemware, or glass to create a new background.

Happy Crafting!  (I almost forgot…here is the finished card.)

An oops is a creative opportunity.

Have you created a card and at the last second you tip over your water bottle and it is now a watercolor?  Not all oops’es are mistakes.  They are usually just creative opportunities.  This card was created with a mistake in mind.

Take a saucer and pour some wine in it.

The bottom of the wine glass becomes your stamp.

Now let dry thoroughly.  (This is a good time to pour a glass for yourself.)

Here is the finished product, a beautiful card.  No mistakes here. 🙂

If you try this technique please post a photo of your creative opportunity.

It’s Monday so it’s time to talk about what’s coming up.

I know some of you dread Mondays horribly.  Hopefully this brings a tiny ray of hope or sunshine to your day.  Here are some fun things coming up.

If you prefer to order online please use host code DYRBZYGR through tonight.

On Friday I will stop by the Pioneer Days Kick-Off to enjoy the music and hopefully some food.  Let me know if you are thinking of going so we can meet up.

Saturday is the Craft Fair at Yucca Valley Methodist Church on Onaga.  Stop by to get some cute gifts or needed greeting cards.

The 23rd is Mesa Fest from 10-10!  Yes, 12 hours!  Come out and see a bunch.  There are many events planned.

On the 26th we will have an encouragement card get together.  If you need to create some cards to send to brighten someone’s day then come.

Save the date for Serina’s class is on the 30th from 9:30-noon!  We will be creating Halloween favors by the 10’s.  If you need co-worker treats or favors for your kid’s class then come and create.

Also, please remember that the Bingo promotion is still going.  If you want more info on this promotion please comment.

And last but not least, there is another promotion for the $100K goal!  Place an order of $25 or more and be entered in to the raffle to have a chance to win a kit from the Holiday Catalog!

Sunday is for catching up.

For me, Sunday is for catching up.  Catching up on rest, blogs, reading, projects, laundry, and some cleaning.  If you are not caught up on this blog I would encourage you to go scroll through a few days.  There have been some promotions announced and you may not want to miss out.  As for me, I am finishing up some cleaning so I can get into my craft room today.

Happy Crafting!

Sales, goals, and bling.

Have you had a goal?  When you achieve it how does it make you feel?  Right now I am working on a huge goal and I am almost there.  I have a goal to reach $100,000 in sales for my 11 year career by September 30, 2017.  I have less than $500 to go to reach that goal.  For everyone that helps me by ordering $25 or more from now until September 30 I will give a raffle ticket to for a chance to win the Watercolor Christmas Kit (page 34 of the Holiday Catalog).

To order online please use host code DYRBZYGR until Monday night.

Now go stamp!  Happy Crafting!

With inky fingers,

Joni 🙂
