Ink pads are for coloring.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!

Have you ever looked at the front of your card and said that there is too much blank space or that it doesn’t coordinate well? Here’s an easy way to fix it. Grab a coordinating ink pad and swipe it to make a border for your card front.

Join me tonight on the Facebook Live to see this finished card as well as a technique on how to hang your ornaments.

Another way to stretch.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Today is another day to create and stretch a bit.

Not only should you not forget to move but you should also know how to stretch your products. Take your Everyday Label Punch and cut diagonally to mat on all four sides.

If you prefer to just mat on two sides then just cut in half and adhere.

Rest changes your viewpoint.

It’s Sabbath Sunday! This is the day to rest and recharge for the week.

Sometimes you need a change of perspective to get focused and recharged. A quick road trip to the beach, a local hiking trail, or the mountains can be just what you need to get things back into a crisp view.

Have you ever realized that often with a rest stop comes a vista point?

So here’s to changing views to prevent burnout, increase creativity, and get more energy.

Favor please.

It’s Friendship Friday! This is the day to focus on giving back or paying it forward.

I have a favor to ask today, please.

My Grama who is 92 years old is going through a bit of a rough patch. She was recently (last week) hospitalized for what turned out to be just gallstones. During the ultrasound they found a tumor though and told her she had cancer.

I called this weekend to check in on her and she seemed to be doing okay. Towards the end of the call I could tell her energy was just not there. She wasn’t herself (but who would be?).

So I’m asking that if you are doing a good deed today will you send a card? I am thinking just a general encouragement or cheer card. I know get well is not appropriate. Her name is Wanda. You can send to me and just make sure to put her name as a “care of” or on the flap of the envelope. Just somewhere so I know to get it to her. As I get a few I will send to her.

Thank you in advance for being a part of this crafty family. If you know someone in need of a pick me up please contact me so we can all chip in.

Dies and papers line up.

It’s Wacky Wednesday where a product is used in a way it is not intended!

Did you know that so much coordinates with Stampin’ Up!? I know I have said that the paper, markers, ink pads, and embellishments all match. But, did you know, that sometimes the Designer Series Papers or Specialty Papers also line up with the dies? This is coordination to an all new level.

I would encourage you to look at everything and see if it coordinates. You just might be surprised at what you find.

Using shapes for backgrounds.

It’s Technique Tuesday! Have you ever really had a sentiment that you wanted to use but it didn’t seem like you could find anything to go with it?

Now usually, in the Stampin’ Up! world, this doesn’t happen since our stamp sets come in just that…sets. There are usually words and images that go together to make it easy to coordinate. But occasionally we get stumped and things just don’t seem to go together.

For this case specifically use shapes to create a background. If your words are more of a calligraphy font then go with something more round like a circle or oval shape. If your words are more sharp then go for a triangle, square, or rectangle.

After I glued all my circles on I embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. This made it a more cohesive look. I then stamped my sentiment and added some confetti to it finishing it off by popping it up with Dimensionals.
