Faux Silk Technique

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I want to show you how to create with the faux silk technique.

For the three cards you will need:

  • Thick Basic White or Very Vanilla Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 140) (cut to 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ or cut to 4 1/4″ X 11″, scored at 5 1/2″)
  • Early Espresso Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 3″ square)
  • Soft Suede Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 3″ square)
  • Highland Heather Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 3″ square)
  • Gray Granite Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 3″ square)
  • Cajun Craze Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 3″ square)
  • Cherry Cobbler Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 3″ square)
  • Basic White or Very Vanilla Card Stock (Annual Catalog page 123)(cut to 2 3/4″ X 4 1/4″)
  • Stylish Sketches (Sale-A-Bration Brochure page 9)
  • Dragonfly Garden Cling Stamp Set (Annual Catalog page 105)
  • Soft Seedlings Cling Stamp Set (Mini Catalog page 53)
  • Brushed Metallic Dots (Annual Catalog page 143)
  • Glue Stick
  • White Tissue Paper (cut about an inch bigger than the Basic White or Very Vanilla Card Stock)
  • Snips (Annual Catalog page 155)
  • Early Espresso Ink Pad (Annual Catalog page 123)
  • Cajun Craze Ink Pad (Annual Catalog page 123)
  • Watercolor Pencils (Annual Catalog page 126)
  • Blender Pen (Annual Catalog page 129)
  • Pastel Pearls (Annual Catalog page 143)
  • Stampin’ Seal (Annual Catalog page 127)
  • Mini Glue Dots (Annual Catalog page 127)
