How to color on metallic paper.

It’s Tutorial Thursday! Today I want to show you how to color on the Brushed Metallic 12X12 Card Stock.

Here is the list of supplies you will need:

  • Thick Basic White Card Stock
  • Evening Evergreen Card Stock
  • Brushed Metallic 12X12 Card Stock
  • Basic White Card Stock
  • Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Christmas Pinecone Dies
  • Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin’ Blends — Evening Evergreen, Bronze, and Cinnamon Cider
  • Stampin’ Seal
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • Silicone Mat
  • Adhesive Sheet

And here are the instructions and measurements…

  • With the Paper Trimmer cut the Thick White Card Stock to 4 1/4″ X 11″. On the 11″ side score at 5 1/2″. This is your card base.
  • With the Paper Trimmer cut the Evening Evergreen Card Stock to 4″ X 5 1/4″. Attach with Stampin’ Seal. This is your outer mat.
  • With the Paper Trimmer cut the lightest Brushed Metallic Card Stock (gold) to 3 3/4″ X 5″. Run through Machine with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. Attach with Stampin’ Seal to outer mat. This is your inner mat.
  • Take a scrap of the same Brushed Metallic Card Stock and attach the Adhesive Sheet to the back. Run through Machine with Pinecone Dies. Take a Glue Dot on the back of each and attach temporarily to the Silicone Mat. This will allow you to color without getting your fingers in the ink. Take the Stampin’ Blends and color the pinecones. Let sit about a minute or so to dry.
  • While the pinecones are drying stamp your sentiment with the Evening Evergreen Ink on your scrap of Basic White Card Stock. Trim with the Paper Trimmer to size. Tip: I trimmed mine just past the inner mat at 3 7/8″. Attach sentiment strip to inner mat with Glue Dots.
  • Now take pinecones and peel the sticker or adhesive sheet backing off. Place where you want on the card.
